Robert Kennedy Jr. isn't a bad person. But he's absolutely the wrong person to lead HHS. The recent discourse on revoking the #PolioVaccine should prove that. I was one of polio's last victims, and I owe it to everyone who ever had serious illnesses like these to oppose #RFKJr's nomination.

I contacted polio within months of the Salk vaccine's availability, and I NEVER want to see someone deal with it again. Especially when we have the vaccine to fight it! RFKJr's fringe ideas on vaccines are disqualifying. Let him deal with food coloring, but we can't let him run HHS.

Health care professionals are on the front lines of identifying #HumanTrafficking. My SOAR Act ensures they have the training to recognize the signs and respond appropriately. Last night, the House voted to reauthorize this critical program. Watch my remarks👇 #EndHumanTrafficking

Trump said he's going to pardon some of the J6 prisoners at his inauguration. As someone who was in the gallery and then locked in my office in the early morning as insurrectionists tried to overthrow our government and beat police—some to the point of death—I cannot be a part of that spectacle.
UK hit with nationwide shortage of the stout days before Christmas GUINESS MOST POPULAR IMPORT IN USA AND SHORTAGES HERE As a state senator around 1990 I passed “the Guinness bill“ to allow imported Guinness in Tennessee. Previously not allowed because of domestic beer influence in Tennessee !

I was diagnosed with polio as a child just months before the Salk vaccine was approved. I've lived with the pain and challenges ever since. The #PolioVaccine WORKS. Revoking it borders on criminal. That's why I'm opposed to #RFKJr as HHS Secretary. Environment, fine. Food, OK. Health, unacceptable.
The lawyer helping Robert F. Kennedy Jr. pick federal health officials for the incoming Trump administration has petitioned the government to revoke its approval of the polio vaccine, which for decades has protected millions of people from a virus that can cause paralysis or death.

The same study found a majority of Tennesseans support the federal gov’t NEGOTIATING for lower RX prices. Guess which bill finally gave Medicare and Medicaid the ability to do that? The Inflation Reduction Act. And who was the only one from TN to vote for it? Me again. Time to start listening.

The State of TN has bungled its fair share of issues—remember, not a single member of Congress here today voted for the #IIJA except me—but not expanding #Medicaid is one of the worst in recent memory. It’s cost us $30 BILLION so far. #1 state for medical bankruptcies. @GovBillLee could change that
The VANDY POLL also says Tennesseans back MEDICAID EXPANSION. (Bipartisan) We’ve lost $30 BILLION+ not expanding — #1 in medical bankruptcies. @GovBillLee @TNGOP They also back the federal government negotiating lower prices, blaming insurance companies for higher costs.

Lots wrong with it, but one thing was true about Trump's rant on the Electoral College: it's time to abolish it. I introduced a resolution today to do just that. Every vote should count equally. Republicans: follow Trump's lead and support my bill! cohen.house.gov/media-center...

This year's FAA reauth bill included my bill (the EVAC Act) to make sure the FAA does more to prioritize passenger safety in emergency evacuation standards—especially for seniors, children & people w/ disabilities. Lives depend on it, and they should waste no time now that it’s the law. More here 👇
