There's been a LOT going on in Trump's first 100 days. So far, he's attacked everyone & everything EXCEPT the rising cost of living—and Republicans have been complicit. I started a Substack to cut through the noise & update you on how I'm fighting back. substack.com/@reppressley
Republicans haven’t been listening to their constituents. So I’m taking the mic to share stories like Mary’s, a nurse from Lisa McClain's district who says that gutting Medicaid will be devastating for her and her autistic son. We must stop this cruel reconciliation bill before it's too late.
It only took Trump one week to dismantle reproductive health access. We are now 100 days in & he’s launched a full scale attack by cutting funding, restricting access, & undermining health care at every level.
Today marks 100 days of this administration—and 100 days of the chaos and catastrophe it has already created for reproductive health care in our country. Let’s take a look at what’s happened so far.
Trump's first 100 days: Impact on reproductive health care
Trump & Republicans want to make devastating cuts to SNAP—a total of $230 billion over the next 10 years. They want to rip food away from our babies & vulnerable families. I’m joining @projectbread.org to call out this cruelty and fight back.

SNAP supports kids and students.
Mohsen Mahdawi's release is an encouraging step in the fight to defend our constitutional rights to due process & free speech. Now, the Administration must release Rümeysa Öztürk, Mahmoud Khalil, and everyone unjustly detained. We have not forgotten about you & we will fight for your rights daily.
The power of clemency is life-changing. And this data affirms that commutations for people serving unfair & outdated sentences is a critical step toward justice & healing. I applaud President Biden for using clemency to bring thousands of individuals home & reunite families.
NEW DATA: Commutations for more than 2,100 people in prison serving long, outdated federal sentences mean real second chances! Read more on FWD’s latest research: www.fwd.us/news/new-dat...
As the daughter of a tenants' rights organizer, I know how essential it is that tenants be able to advocate for a safe, healthy home. Proud to join @ramirez.house.gov on the Tenants' Right to Organize Act to enable tenants to hold landlords accountable & demand better living conditions.
Donald Trump’s first 100 days have been a masterclass of cruelty, callousness, chaos, & corruption. He has attacked everyone & everything, except the rising cost of living. YI'll continue to stand in the gap & fight for the dignity, safety, & economic wellbeing of everyone.
Rally tomorrow at the State Department! Marco Rubio must hear our voices demanding that Mohsen Mahdawi is released immediately. Proud to protest with @vanhollen.senate.gov, @raskin.house.gov, @jayapal.house.gov, @frost.house.gov, @pressley.house.gov, and more of my powerhouse colleagues. Join us📢💥
My staff had the honor of joining @mayorwu.boston.gov, @ruthzee.bsky.social, & his family to celebrate his courage, sacrifice, & enduring legacy of service to Puerto Ricans & all people across the #MA7. I’m deeply grateful for Tony’s partnership & his commitment to our community.
Sending huge gratitude to all of these Members of Congress for standing up Rümeysa, Mahmoud, and all of our fundamental rights! @repmcgovern.bsky.social, @markey.senate.gov, @pressley.house.gov, @benniethompson.bsky.social, @reptroycarter.bsky.social
Rümeysa Öztürk and Mahmoud Khalil are political prisoners. They’ve broken no laws and are being detained not for what they’ve done, but for what they dared to say. We went to Louisiana to demand their release.
Our meeting with Rümeysa Öztürk was a true testament to her character. She remains kind-hearted and courageous, despite the cruelty she is enduring at the facility. I asked her pointedly if she had a message for the people of Somerville, she said thank you for being her community.
Democracy is strengthened by active, educated engagement by everyone. That's why Donald Trump won't stop his relentless attacks on DEI, public education, academic freedom, & more. TY Emerson College for having me to discuss higher ed the next four years & how we can fight back.
