American taxpayers should not be left to pay the bill for Elon Musk’s illegal actions, which are now being challenged in court.
I introduced the Nobody Elected Elon Musk Act, which would ensure that Musk and other Special Government Employees in charge of DOGE are liable for their illegal actions.
Every day, it’s becoming more and more clear that DOGE isn’t what they say it is. Dismantling agencies, firing tens of thousands of Americans, giving themselves government contracts.
Even House & Senate Republicans and Trump’s own Cabinet Secretaries know this is not normal.

This week the GOP called a hearing in support of Trump’s immigration policies.
But these policies aren’t securing the border. The admin fired many top law enforcement officers investigating and prosecuting cases. They've frozen funds needed to address violence and drug problems in our communities.
Medicaid covers 34% of residents in NM-01, including 78,000 children, 3,100 births, and 22,000 seniors.
This is who the GOP is taking Medicaid from: children, seniors, and mothers.
But we are fighting back!

I’ve been critiqued for my appearance all my life—mostly by men who wouldn’t survive 5 minutes under the same scrutiny.

Yesterday, Elon Musk was asked by the GOP to come meet with members of Congress because, just like all of you out there, they are deeply upset by what he was doing.
The message from Senate and House Republicans – you need to involve Congress and do it right.
Cecile Richards was a titan—not just for reproductive rights, but for labor and voting rights as well. Cecile was dedicated to making the world a better place.
Her legacy will be felt for generations, and as we celebrate her life tonight, may that legacy inspire the next generation.
We are not going to sit around and normalize the things Donald Trump and his Administration are doing.
Because the things he’s doing are not normal and, in many cases, are not legal.
That’s why he’s losing in the courts, in Congress, and in our communities.
I am absolutely devastated to learn of the passing of Congressman Sylvester Turner—who I was just talking and laughing with on the House Floor yesterday.
You will be missed dear friend—we will carry your memory and work forward. 💔

We just walked out of the state of the Union. My shirt showed Trump an important message: NO KINGS LIVE HERE.
