@housedemocrats.bsky.social are united, and we are voting no on this cruel, despicable bill.
The American people deserve better, and we are not backing down. #presson

History was made today. Leader Jeffries just delivered the longest floor speech in House history to expose this bill for what it is: a tax scam that redistributes wealth to the ultra-rich while imposing the largest cuts to Medicaid and food assistance in American history.
"Let me make something clear: House Democrats believe in a woman's freedom to make her own reproductive health care decisions. A decision that should be between a woman, her family, her faith, and her doctors. That's it. Period. Full stop."

Every single House Democrat will stand up for the American people.
We just need four Republicans to join us.
They’ll have to own it in front of the American people and the very constituents they are betraying.
House Democrats stopped Trump and Republicans from ramming their cruel budget through in the dead of night.
If they want to rip health care from 17 million people and tear food off families’ tables, they are going to have to do it in broad daylight — with the American people watching.

People will die because of the all-out Republican assault on healthcare in America.
The House Floor is now a crime scene.

As House Republicans try to jam through Trump’s One Big, Ugly Bill, @repdean.bsky.social has a simple question on today’s Democratic Daily Download:
Why would anyone vote for this terrible bill?
“Every single one of us will stand up for the healthcare of the American people, for the nutritional assistance of the American people, for efforts that actually should be designed to improve their quality of life, not hurt it.” - Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries
@housedemocrats.bsky.social are standing strong against Trump’s Big Ugly Bill.
We’re fighting back against Republican cuts to Medicaid and SNAP — and standing up for the working families, children, seniors, and veterans who rely on them. We’re not backing down.
I recently met with advocates and volunteers from Planned Parenthood California Central Coast, and together we’re fighting for a future where everyone has access to high-quality care — and where women can make their own decisions about their health, their lives, and their futures.
Extremist Republicans continue their onslaught of attacks on Medicaid and are pushing dangerous provisions to “defund” Planned Parenthood in their disastrous budget reconciliation bill — putting the reproductive health and rights of millions of Americans at risk.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @ramirez.house.gov lays out how Trump’s One Big, Ugly Bill will take health care and food assistance away from working families while rewarding billionaires with tax breaks that explode the deficit.
Senate Republicans didn’t have the courage to do the right thing and stop this tax scam. I voted no the last time, and I’ll vote no again. The American people deserve better.
If Republicans get their way, millions will lose health care, families will see food ripped from their tables, and our kids will be saddled with trillions in debt — all to bankroll more tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations.
Senate Republicans just rammed through their version of Donald Trump’s Big Ugly Bill — making one bad bill even worse (if that was even possible).
Now, they’re sending this un-American, egregious bill back to the House for a final vote.

Republicans in Congress are pushing through a bill that would strip PP affiliates of funding.
Thank you to @juliabrownley.house.gov for being an advocate for reproductive freedom + fighting for essential care like birth control, STI testing, abortion, gender-affirming care, and cancer screenings.
No matter who you are or who you love, everyone deserves to be treated equally and with dignity and respect. As a proud member of the Congressional Equality Caucus, I will continue fighting hate and discrimination and work for a more just and equal world for all. #PrideMonth
At this moment, when the LGBTQIA+ community is facing harmful attacks and discrimination from the highest levels of government, our commitment to equality must be unwavering.
