Spending taxpayer dollars to incinerate 500 TONS of food assistance and nearly $10 million in contraceptives that were designated for vulnerable families is the definition of waste and inefficiency.
It’s unacceptable—and why I joined @beyer.house.gov to call for an immediate investigation.

It was an honor to break ground with the City of Grandview on the $24M revitalization of Blue Ridge Blvd – the largest infrastructure investment in city history!
I fought to secure $4.6M in federal funding for the project because Grandview families deserve safer streets & a thriving local economy.
If the president doesn’t like the recent economic numbers, he should take a look at the reckless policies being implemented under his watch—not fire the nonpartisan civil servants who are simply reporting facts.
This is another dangerous step that will destabilize the economy.
Last month, following another funding freeze by the Trump administration, we were able to restore nearly $84 million in funding for public schools across Missouri.
I’ll keep fighting to invest in education and lower costs for students and teachers alike.

It’s Back to School Month!
Every student deserves a quality education, which is why I’m fighting back against Trump’s attacks on schools and the teachers who work tirelessly to educate the next generation.
As the president slashes funding for things American families depend on like healthcare, food assistance, education, and cancer research, he is spending hundreds of millions to build himself a new ballroom.
It’s beyond shameful.

“A growing number of consumer goods companies are resorting to price hikes as they grapple with increased costs associated with tariffs.”
And the tariffs aren’t even in full effect yet.

As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens, it’s imperative that Secretary Rubio and the Trump administration do more to ensure life-saving supplies are getting to civilians.
That’s why I joined @RepCasten in urging an immediate investigation into GHF and more aid for those in need.
Instead of working to lower costs on housing, healthcare, and groceries, Republicans in Congress just passed a bill that rips healthcare away from 16 million Americans and food assistance away from millions more—all to fund more tax breaks for the wealthy.

Inflation is rising, the job market is deteriorating, and economic growth is slowing.
Today’s jobs report, including the massive revisions from the previous two months, is a clear indicator that the president’s reckless trade war and chaotic policies are hurting American workers and families.
The Trump administration is now openly admitting their plan to privatize Social Security.
Social Security is vital to the retirement and well-being of American seniors across the country—and we won’t stand for their effort to undermine the program!
Donald Trump’s reckless tariffs are raising costs across the board.
Republicans in Congress are rubber stamping these taxes, even as they crush America’s consumers, workers, and small businesses with higher costs.
www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
The president’s tariff taxes are raising costs on hardworking families and hurting America’s small businesses.
Rather than enacting bipartisan solutions to lower costs for families, Republicans in Congress just passed the most regressive legislation in history, transferring trillions in wealth from the working-class to the 1%.
Relief for the rich but not for the people.
www.nytimes.com/interactive/...
Because of the President’s tariff taxes, funding freezes, and general recklessness, America is seeing slower economic growth and higher inflation than we had last year.
It’s about time Republicans in Congress worked with Democrats to provide real relief to families and small businesses!
Happy 60th birthday to Medicare and Medicaid!
Millions of Americans rely on these critical lifelines to stay healthy.
And while Republicans just enacted the largest cut to Medicaid in the program’s history, I’m committed to restoring funding & protecting access to health care for every American.
The administration’s effort to sweep housing discrimination and segregation under the rug is completely unacceptable.
The attack on Fair Housing laws will only embolden such heinous behavior, ensuring minority families are left with fewer options, resources, and environmental protections.
Thank you both for your support.
Together, the people of Missouri will defeat this unconstitutional and divisive effort to rig the system and silence the voices of Western Missourians.
In Missouri and America, the PEOPLE choose their representatives—not the other way around.
Despite promises that he would go after criminals and gang members—which we can all support—the president’s mass deportation policies continue to overwhelmingly ensnare individuals who are here legally, are no threat, and doing important work for our communities.
It must stop.
