Are Tom Homan’s decisions influenced by financial interests? Who was behind the shuttering of this investigation? How can the American people trust Pam Bondi OR Tom Homan after this?

Donald Trump’s unintelligible comments at the UN today were another example of how this Administration has tarnished America’s global reputation, while dangerously ceding more global influence to Russia and China.
Reporting on the recordings of 9-1-1 calls from ICE facilities are heartbreaking. Pregnant women were in distress, bleeding, or suffering severe pain and getting little to no medical care. Democrats won’t let abuses at Kristi Noem’s DHS go unnoticed.
When people are in government custody, we are responsible for their safety and well-being. Pregnant women are some of the most vulnerable people in custody—and they’re receiving little to no medical care. The Trump Administration’s cruelty and inhumanity know no bounds.

BREAKING: Senate Democrats probe mistreatment of pregnant women in ICE detention under Trump Administration, citing cruel treatment with little to no medical care in custody.
70 percent of smokers want to quit but can’t because of the addictive chemical nicotine. I joined @SenBlumenthal & @SenJeffMerkley to send a letter to FDA calling for a cap on the amount of nicotine in cigarettes. This change would help people beat their addiction & save lives.
Congratulations to Major Cameron Jones from Savanna, Illinois, who has been selected to be a NASA astronaut candidate. His candidate class will be eligible to go on missions to the International Space Station and the Moon. I wish Cameron the best of luck as he begins his training.
Only one percent of real estate development companies are owned by Black & Latino developers. I introduced the SPUR Housing Act with @cleaver.house.gov to remedy this gap & level the development playing field by offering minority developers the tools they need to build & grow their own companies.
Dreamers are some of the hardest working people I’ve met. They inspire us. They fuel our economy. They make our nation stronger. Just introduced a bipartisan bill to protect documented Dreamers from deportation with Senator Padilla.
The Trump-Bondi Justice Department shut down this investigation. They’re using the world’s most powerful law enforcement agency to protect themselves and their own—not YOU.

Tom Homan allegedly accepted $50,000 in cash from undercover agents posing as business executives. He indicated he’d help them win government contracts to detain immigrants if Trump won. Blatant corruption.
President Trump’s illegal $1,000,000 “gold card” visa scheme is a sham. We need a fair and orderly immigration system. We need to preserve our safety and maintain our status as a beacon of hope for the most vulnerable.
Republicans rejected our proposal that would have avoided a shutdown and prevented large health care premium increases for millions of Americans. I am ready to negotiate with my colleagues, but I will not rubber-stamp the President’s extreme cuts to essential programs that Americans rely on.
