Donald Trump is gambling with our money and economy. Workers are losing jobs, costs are going up, and retirees are seeing their savings evaporate yet HE won’t be subjected to the financial “pain” that he says Americans must feel.
REPORTER: The markets today are way down. The worst day in years. Because of the tariffs. So, how's it going? TRUMP: I think it's going very well. It was an operation like when a patient gets operated on.
Mike Johnson is trying to kill a bill that would permit proxy voting for new parents because it's "unconstitutional" YET 1) he himself has voted by proxy 39 times 2) he let one Republican cast a vote for their colleague despite that member being across the country to be on TV
Trump's troubling comments about a third term are said hoping they can make enough news to distract from their utter incompetence with #SignalGate  and the fact we're headed to a recession because of Trump economic policies. We can chew gum and walk at the same time.
We're back in DC to vote on pressing Republican priorities: eliminating caps on overdraft fees, rigging the judiciary system in their favor, and disenfranchising millions of women from voting. I'm sure Americans appreciate the GOP making life more expensive and difficult!
Unions gave us the 40-hour workweek, labor protections, basic benefits, safer workplaces, and the leverage working Americans needed. Threatening unions threatens millions of workers across the country – all to protect billionaires and big corporations’ profits.
President Trump's new executive order ends collective bargaining for wide swaths of federal employees, as part of his broader campaign to reshape the government's workforce. Unions are vowing to sue.
Despite ongoing measles outbreaks, the Trump administration is slashing budgets and staffing for the very agency that protects communities from deadly diseases. Trump is making Americans sicker and poorer to give tax breaks to billionaires. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/26/h...
These provisions prevent undocumented spouses of Americans from getting any legal protections whatsoever. Americans recognize that it is in our country’s best interests to restore legal pathways for immigrants and keep families together.
Hegseth repeatedly lied to the American people and should be fired - along with all the others in the chat. These are strike plans. There must be a broad investigation of how compromised our national security is because of their shocking incompetence. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
“The president knew. He was just trolling.” Trolling? More like not taking accountability- just like his SecDef who tried to dodge and deflect when asked about this. He should never have been confirmed and should be fired immediately.
“The people in that group determine what's classified."   Nope. We were fortunate that an adversary didn’t gain access to the details, which would have put our warfighters in unnecessary and very grave danger. And it sends a message to allies that we can’t be trusted with their secrets.
“Who cares? This is Trump being transparent!" Nope. This happened by accident. Anyone with a top secret security clearance knows they shouldn’t text specific plans to bomb another country over text. And btw the Signal chat was set to “disappear” - yet another violation!
There’s absolutely no excuse for the colossal incompetence displayed by Waltz, Hegseth, Vance, Gabbard, et al. And the mental gymnastics involved in trying to explain this away is pretty astounding. Let’s discuss, shall we?
