BREAKING: I pressed the President’s Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche to commit to keeping federal agents out of polling places. Federal law is clear: the President does NOT have the authority to deploy armed federal officials to election sites.
The Credit for Prior Learning Act will make it possible for more Americans to afford their education by allowing students to earn college credit for learning they received outside the traditional classroom.
If there's a birthday, you've got to have some cake! 🎂🇺🇸

The 250th birthday cake was unveiled with the Smithsonian & the Library of Congress. And Minnesota made its mark: I added our state bird the loon & a pair of hockey sticks with cake artist Grace Pak.
From parades to fireworks, today we celebrate 250 years of the American spirit and our founding ideals – the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Happy Independence Day, America! 🇺🇲
Stop 8 of my Northwest & Northern Minnesota tour: Koochiching County!    Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls, with a staff of over 200, plays a critical role in ensuring this region has access to 24/7 emergency care, primary care, and clinic services.
Stop 7 of my rural tour: Lake of the Woods County! At New Moon Coffeehouse in Baudette, I joined local leaders & volunteers ahead of their Walleye Fish Fry and July 4th celebrations — with so many visitors coming in to mark our nation’s 250th birthday & enjoy the outdoors! 🏕️🎇
Stop 6 on my rural tour: Roseau County! Met with the Mayor and leaders of Lil’ Chompers Childcare in Greenbush to discuss their new facility, which is being built with federal funding I helped secure. The new facility will provide 40 kids with care — including needed infant care.
Stop 5 of my rural tour: Kittson County! Enjoyed great coffee with local small business owners, entrepreneurs, & leaders at Bully Brew Coffee in Hallock. To help our businesses thrive, we need to lower costs and make it easier to grow and create jobs.
Stop 4 of my rural tour: Warren! I met with local leaders about how Warren stepped up to address child care needs with the Little Sprouts Learning Center. When parents can’t find care, they can’t go to work, & local economies suffer. We must support local solutions like this.
Stop 3 of my rural tour: Thief River Falls — home to Arctic Cat, where snowmobiles and ATVs are manufactured right here in northwest Minnesota. Last year they returned to independent ownership, they’re thriving, and they’re one of this region’s largest employers.
Now THIS is a Minnesota view! 🌳🌊 From kayaking on the scenic Red Lake River to their campground, Voyageur's View Camping, Tubing, & Kayaking is a beautiful spot here in Red Lake Falls. Places like this help showcase all that Northwest MN has to offer.
Stop 2 on my Northwest & Northern Minnesota tour: Red Lake Falls! I’m at Voyageur’s View Camping, Tubing, & Kayaking with second-generation owners and siblings, Stephanie & Jason. 🏕️ Voyageur’s View has been helping capture Minnesotans’ adventurous spirit since 1985.
I’m kicking off a Northwest & Northern Minnesota rural tour. First stop: Halstad — where I met with Red River Valley Electric Co-Op & local leaders at a new HQ. They're working on moving overhead powerlines underground & improving reliability with the help of federal funding.
