93 years ago, Stalin instituted a man-made famine in Ukraine to break its resistance to Soviet occupation, killing millions. Now, Putin’s war and weaponization of hunger once again threaten Ukrainians' survival. We honor the victims of Stalin's famine by supporting Ukraine today.
Today, @markwarner.bsky.social and I hosted Virginia veterans for coffee in D.C. We owe it to them to provide them with the benefits they deserve. I’m proud of what we’ve done to expand access to veterans’ services, and I’ll keep doing all I can to support them.
I'm horrified by Trump's calls for violence against my friends, Senator Kelly—whose wife Gabby Giffords survived an assassination attempt—and @slotkin.senate.gov, as well as Democratic House members. I hope my Republican colleagues will condemn these disturbing messages.

On Transgender Day of Remembrance, I hope you'll join me in remembering and honoring those who have lost their lives to violent hate, and stand together with the transgender community against bigotry. If you need support, call (888) 843-4564 for free, confidential peer help.
I’m thrilled that NTIA approved Virginia’s proposal to expand broadband to 133,000 unserved locations across Virginia. I was proud to secure this funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to help connect communities and ensure Virginians have access to high-speed internet.
During Native American Heritage Month, we celebrate Native Americans’ traditions, contributions, and cultures.
I'm proud to have worked with six Virginia tribes to secure their federal recognition, and I will always keep advocating to support tribal communities.
The Senate passed my bipartisan legislation challenging Trump’s tariffs—one of the contributing factors to rising prices. But Speaker Johnson is using procedural loopholes to avoid bringing it to a vote in the House. Senator Paul, @wyden.senate.gov, and I are urging him to change course.
This Military Family Appreciation Month and always, I thank our military families for their sacrifices to keep us safe. That includes juggling moves while building their lives and careers, which is why I'll keep pushing for my bill to boost job opportunities for military spouses.
If only we knew who imposed the tariffs to begin with.

My statement on Trump’s defense of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman after he was asked about the murder of journalist and Northern Virginia resident Jamal Khashoggi:
Americans know that achieving the American Dream begins with a good education—Trump lives in a fantasy if he thinks closing the Department of Education is a good idea. This will hurt our economy and set our students up for failure. Students deserve better.
The victims of Jeffrey Epstein–and the American people–deserve answers, accountability, and the truth. That’s why @markwarner.bsky.social and I are joining 45 of our colleagues in calling on Republican leadership to immediately bring the Epstein Files Transparency Act to a vote in the Senate.
The House of Representatives is voting today on legislation to compel the Department of Justice to release the Epstein files. I hope it's a unanimous vote and that the bill will be taken up quickly in the Senate. Epstein’s victims deserve justice.
I’m glad federal workers are getting their jobs back, the government is open, and we'll have a health care vote soon. But I'm fighting to remove a ridiculous, last-minute provision GOP leadership added to the funding deal to give Republican senators personal $500,000 windfalls.
Good luck @washingtonspirit.com in the National Women’s Soccer League Championship game this Saturday! We’re so lucky to have such an incredible team training in Virginia. This will be a great game. Let’s go, @washingtonspirit.com!
How it started: How it's going:
Today, we celebrate four years of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Since it became law, it has funded improvements to bridges, airports, and roads, and expanded broadband access across Virginia. I’ll keep working to reauthorize it so we can build on the progress we've made.
The Virginia Creeper Trail is an iconic trail in VA and plays a critical role in the local economy. I'm proud to have secured funding to restore it after Hurricane Helene. I’m glad progress is being made to rebuild it, and I can’t wait to get back on it! cardinalnews.org/2025/11/10/2...
Trump’s trade war with Canada is harming our relationship with one of our closest allies, driving up costs on goods for Americans, and lowering tourism to the U.S. The Senate passed my bipartisan bill to end these taxes. Now the House should bring it to a vote.
