The people of Roxbury don’t want this facility in their community. They've made their concerns heard and I will continue to stand with them. We must continue to hold DHS accountable. These agencies work for us, and they need to be responsive and responsible to the people.

These N.J. students walked out to protest ICE. Now they’re facing serious discipline.

I believe that the opposite of democracy is apathy. I commend the students in NJ who are taking action to stand up for what they believe in.

At least two school districts notified students of potential suspensions or detentions for leaving class during anti-ICE demonstrations.

ICE in our communities isn’t just making us less safe — it’s also becoming a barrier to receiving care. People in NJ are scared to leave their homes, go to school, and go to the doctor. This kind of intimidation has no place in our healthcare system.
