Whoops! Earlier this week, while running down the stairs in a rush, I tripped and ended up breaking my ankle—I wouldn’t recommend it. 🙃 Next week, I’ll be back at the Capitol for votes and hearings and doing everything else I can to be a voice for Washington state in the Senate.
It's just nonstop corruption from this White House, and Republicans in Congress are content to twiddle their thumbs and look right in the other direction. NEWSFLASH: Congress should be investigating and putting a stop to this kind of crooked self-dealing—not enabling it.
Everyone who wants a fairer and better country needs to pay attention to this. Republican SNAP cuts have wrongly kicked 700,000 KIDS off food assistance. Children are going hungry to subsidize tax breaks for giant corporations—a disaster. Congress MUST reverse these cuts.
Tonight I heard directly from local officials about their response to the tragic Nippon plant tank failure. I want to reiterate—my heart goes out to the victims and their loved ones. To the Longview community: I’m ready to offer any support I can every step of the way.
My heart is with everyone who lost a loved one today & the workers injured from the implosion at Nippon Dynawave in Longview. I'm grateful for the heroism of the first responders and health care workers on the frontlines of this disaster.
Trump created a $1.8 billion slush fund to send massive checks to MAGA loyalists & even violent criminals who stormed the Capitol. I will do everything possible to stop this corrupt heist of YOUR tax dollars.
This Memorial Day, we honor every servicemember who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and the families who carry that loss every day. Their sacrifice deserves much more than words—Congress must keep its promise to care for our veterans and their families back at home.
The NIH Director couldn't say whether we're better prepared for public health threats under Trump—because we aren't.    Trump gutted NIH funding, delayed and canceled research projects, and pushed out thousands of scientists and staff.  We’re less ready for the next pandemic.
Trump's budget calls for billions in cuts to lifesaving research, but a $1.5 trillion war budget. I asked Trump's NIH Director how he could justify a budget that puts defense contractors ahead of cancer research. He couldn't. I’m throwing Trump’s budget in the trash.
Sean Duffy's "Great American Road Trip" was sponsored by the very corporations he regulates. He blew a gasket when I asked him to answer basic questions about his all-expense-paid vacation. Americans deserve answers, so I'm calling for an Inspector General investigation.
Acting AG Blanche INSISTED he would always meet with Epstein survivors. A group of survivors made clear he hasn't. Todd Blanche’s refusal to own up to these failures is a disgrace. I’ll keep pushing for the fairness and justice these survivors deserve.
Have you or a loved one been affected by Trump's policies? Paying more for gas because of his war against Iran? Well, under this President, you're entitled to exactly nothing. UNLESS you stormed the Capitol, then you may get a payout from his NEW $1.8 BILLION MAGA slush fund.
When I talk to people back home, they want Congress to address rising gas prices, health care costs, energy bills—all of the stress that's being put on their pocketbooks. What are Republicans doing instead? Fighting for $1 BILLION for Trump's ballroom.
I asked Sean Duffy how much gas cost on the "Great American Road Trip" sponsored by Shell and Toyota. He had no clue. Must be nice! Regular Americans don't have corporations to pay for their gas. Gas, which is WAY more expensive thanks to Trump's war.
Trump's DOJ worked harder to protect the privacy of potential child abusers than the Epstein survivors. I gave Acting AG Blanche multiple opportunities to say, "I apologize" or "I'm sorry." He refused. It's a disgrace.
