🚨The GOP provision to DEFUND Planned Parenthood is staying in the Big Ugly bill. Clinics will shutter. Women will lose access to cancer screenings, birth control, and basic care.
I will be forcing a vote to try to strip it out.
Fight like hell. We need to kill this bill.

One Republican Senator told constituents concerned about the health care cuts in Trump's Big Ugly bill that "we're all going to die."
Maybe that's a better name for the bill. At least it's honest. Because when you close the only hospital for miles—you're right. People will die.
So vote NO.
Growing up, my dad lost his job after getting MS. Mom was raising 7 kids & needed skills training before she could find work—both unemployed for months.
Food stamps kept us fed, but my family wouldn't even qualify today under the Big Ugly bill.
It's just wrong. Senators must vote NO.
We've begun offering and debating amendments on Trump's Big Ugly bill here in the Senate.
But let's be clear: this bill polls like garbage because it is garbage.
It belongs nowhere but the trash bin. Senators must vote NO.
For a budget bill like this, both parties get 10 hours of debate each.
Democrats used our time to spell out explicitly what a catastrophe Trump’s Big Ugly bill is.
I guess Republicans can’t actually defend this disaster so they’re forfeiting their time and going to bed.
Trump's Big Ugly bill will "destroy millions of jobs in America." It's also "utterly insane and destructive."
"It gives handouts to industries of the past while severely damaging industries of the future."
But I didn't say that—Elon did.
Senators must vote NO to save our clean energy future.
Republicans are racing to pass perhaps the most expensive bill in history, adding TRILLIONS to the debt, by trashing Senate rules.
Don’t EVER tell me we can’t afford to invest child care after we set trillions on fire to give tax breaks to billionaires who don’t need them.
It’s now Sunday and Trump’s Big Ugly bill is still being read on the Senate floor.
We need to use this time to get the word out:
-16 million Americans losing health care
-premiums skyrocketing
-hospitals closing
And that's just SOME of what it means for health care.
Senators must VOTE NO.
I just voted NO on the motion to proceed on the Big Ugly bill.
Let’s be clear: Voting YES on this procedural motion IS voting to let Republicans pass the largest health care cuts in history.
This isn’t over. There will be debate & amendments.
SENATORS MUST VOTE DOWN THIS BILL!
Republicans told us they wanted to vote on their Big Ugly bill promptly at 4pm ET.
We’re here. But it seems they’re not ready to go.
I guess they’re still working on buying the votes they need to cut Medicaid, close hospitals, and kick seniors out of nursing homes.
Republicans chose to release the text of their Big Ugly bill late last night.
They’re trying to pass the largest cuts to health care in history late on a Saturday.
So Democrats are forcing the entirety of the bill to be read on the Senate floor.
We won’t let them hide.
It's Saturday, so you may not realize, but you should know Republicans are RACING to pass the LARGEST cuts to health care and nutrition assistance in our country's HISTORY
All to pass TRILLIONS in tax giveaways for billionaires who don't need it.
Senators must vote NO.
PLEASE READ and SHARE from the CHILDREN'S Hospital Association:
“Your child—regardless of their insurance status—could see the services they rely on reduced or eliminated... The bill amounts to fewer doctors and nurses to see your child, longer wait times, and sicker children."
Republicans are trying to pass the largest health care cuts in history this weekend. But we can stop their Big Ugly bill.
To anyone listening: this is not a time to give up. Speak up, speak loud, fight back.
We beat ACA repeal in 2017. Keep your shoulders up. Keep fighting.
Trump does not have the power to drag the U.S. into a war with Iran over the objections of Congress and the American people.
I voted for Senator Kaine's War Powers Resolution tonight to send a clear message: NO war with Iran.
This ruling is deeply alarming, but let's be clear: Trump’s lying again.
Probably because his staff will tell him whatever makes him happy. Or maybe he just can’t understand.
Regardless, his anti-American EO is still unconstitutional, and it WILL be fought any way we can.
I hope you’ll listen to Sarah share how Medicaid has saved her son Paul's life.
Like Sarah says, the benefits of Medicaid are more than health care or home care—they have helped Paul live a full life.
Please help share Paul's story. NO cuts to Medicaid.
I'm going to try and communicate with my Republican colleagues in a new way.
Listen to the doctors: When patients go uninsured, they delay care, and it increases costs for everyone.
Instead of paying $10 for diabetic medication, we'll pay $10,000 for an amputation.
Help share so that everyone understands and speaks out AGAINST this Big Ugly Bill.

Murray: "None of us would sit here and agree to bipartisan bills knowing their partners were just gonna gut that deal with recessions. I hope each of us thinks about that today."
