Just now, I voted NO on a procedural step to advance Russ Vought's nomination to manage our nation's budget.
In light of the illegal spending freeze orchestrated by Vought himself and the Trump administration's recent lawlessness, every Senator should vote NO.

Two weeks in, and it’s already painfully clear that this is the most corrupt administration in history, and it’s putting our economy, government, and most at-risk communities in serious jeopardy.
Trump has given Elon Musk access to our government's highly-sensitive central payment system—and he's vowing to use it to cut off funding people are counting on. What will Musk target next? Cancer research? Food banks? Housing assistance? Veterans' benefits?
This is not ok.
Elon Musk—an unelected billionaire with a long list of conflicts of interest and deep ties to China—is hijacking our nation's checkbook so he can block funds that help the American people.
It's corrupt—and it's putting our economy & the most at-risk communities in jeopardy.
Make no mistake: Trump's illegal destruction of USAID will cost lives. All my colleagues should understand these actions empower Russia & the Chinese Communist Party at the cost of America because one billionaire with deep ties to U.S. adversaries decided to do so on a whim.
Trump is now purging Department of Education employees for taking diversity trainings HE encouraged them to take.
He's pushing out staff that process student loans & get resources to our schools. This won't help our kids learn or even save us money. He's just breaking services people rely on.
We cannot mince words about what it would mean to confirm RFK Jr. to our highest health official: elevating him and his anti-science views could have deadly consequences—even before he lifts a finger.
He is wholly unfit & unqualified to lead HHS.
The federal government is not Twitter and when Trump and Musk break government it has consequences—lives are on the line.
Food safety inspection. Air traffic control. Social Security checks. Nuclear Security. Drug approvals. Wildfire management.
The list goes on.
It is absolutely unacceptable for the Trump administration to purge the CDC of important scientific data that matters to millions of people. I refuse to let ideologues stomp out evidence-based objective research—we all need to speak out. www.theatlantic.com/health/archi...
Trump's tariffs will cost families—literally. It's not Mexico or Canada or China who pays for these increases, it's YOU. And you'll feel it on your wallet everywhere you shop. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
All of your most sensitive data and our country’s checkbook are in the hands of an unelected billionaire.
This is the most corrupt administration in history and it’s putting our economy & government in serious jeopardy.
It’s time to speak out and fight back.

Trump has illegally frozen USAID funds, forced layoffs, sidelined & silenced staff, & hollowed out the agency—now rumors are he wants to unilaterally eliminate it.
These harmful moves undermine our national security because when America steps back, our adversaries will step in.
It's not just guacamole and margaritas—it's everything from Mexico, Canada, and China that you buy at the grocery store and everywhere else that will cost YOU more because of Trump's new tariffs.
RFK Jr. told me yesterday that he had never made unwanted sexual advances towards ANYONE.
This new information about settlements and NDAs raises a lot of questions we need to know before any Senator casts a vote on his nomination.
Paging Russ Vought. I’ll be voting NO on your nomination, by the way. abcnews.go.com/Politics/tru...
Let's be clear: this means YOU are going to be paying a 25% tax on everything that you buy from Mexico and Canada, and a 10% tax on everything from China at the grocery store and EVERYWHERE you shop, thanks to Donald Trump. apnews.com/article/trum...
The Senate should REJECT Russ Vought's nomination.
You know what makes absolutely no sense? Confirming the mastermind of the last few days of chaos to oversee our country’s budget again.
The chaos Trump caused this week is unacceptable. I'm calling on him to:
➡️Restore every dollar held up by his devastating blanket freeze
➡️Rescind orders that are STILL blocking funding
➡️Withdraw Vought's nomination
➡️& abandon his illegal scheme to rip funding from families
Over the last few days, the American people have felt the painful consequences of Trump’s disastrous funding freeze—all of which is a result of having a president who is more focused on the billionaires who now fill his administration, than regular people.
