Russ Vought authored Project 2025. We know he's planning for cuts beyond anything this country has ever seen, and if he gets his way, and gets his hands on the nation’s funding again, he won’t just draw blood—he will cut programs like SNAP & Medicaid families rely on to the bone.
Russ Vought doesn't respect the constitutional role of Congress—or the people we represent.
He cannot be trusted in any important role. The Senate should REJECT his nomination to manage our nation's budget.

Vought’s goals are not secret, nor are they subtle—we do not have to decipher anything here. He's going to break laws, cut programs that help Americans, and funnel all that money to billionaires. I'm voting NO.
The system of checks and balances does not work on its own. Congress has to do our part and BE the check—& now is our opportunity to do so.
We have to say the law is the law. And we have to REJECT Russ Vought's nomination.
While Trump is signing an executive order to try & make sure trans middle schoolers can't play sports with their friends, he's also forcing the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to halt any investigations of LGBTQ+ workplace discrimination. It's mean, ugly, & it doesn't help anyone.
If you're considering Trump's federal employee buyout, know that you deserve better than to have a billionaire with no real understanding of what you do, come in, belittle your work, & try to push you out the door—whether you're a food safety inspector or an air traffic controller.
Elon Musk has barged into DOL, which also oversees the Bureau of Labor Statistics—that's a huge deal. He could manipulate quarterly job numbers and much more. We are talking about MARKET MOVING INFORMATION! Do employers want Musk to have access to any of their confidential data?
So let me get this straight: the richest man in the world, with countless government contracts and ties to U.S. adversaries, is taking over our Treasury, in the name of "fighting corruption."
The irony is almost as rich as Musk himself.
Illegally blocking funding, getting rid of thousands of federal workers, and abolishing entire agencies are all extreme tactics taken right from Project 2025—which was written by Russ Vought.
It makes no sense to confirm him to manage our nation's budget.
Russ Vought is out of touch with America & dangerously out of touch with reality.
He's said that the 2020 election was rigged, that he wants to "traumatize" our federal workers, & that we live in a "post-constitutional" time.
These extreme views should be nowhere near our government.

Why on earth would we confirm Russ Vought to uphold those laws after he has made perfectly clear he has no intention of following them?

Washington state is facing a full-blown housing crisis—& the leader of HUD needs to be prepared to help fix it.
Scott Turner is not that person if he won't stand up to Trump's lawless and corrupt agenda.
