Thank you to everyone who came out to my town halls in Lincoln, Tillamook, and Clatsop counties on Saturday. Hearing directly from Oregonians about their ideas for making our state and our country a better place is crucial to the work I do in Congress.

My Republican colleagues must take notice: The U.S. cannot base foreign policy on whether or not a president gets a prize. This is pathetic. It is petty and dangerous narcissism — behavior we might expect from a spoiled child, not the leader of a democratic nation.
Breaking News: President Trump told Norway’s prime minister that one reason he’s pushing to acquire Greenland is because he didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s words are ringing in my mind: “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” We must honor Dr. King’s work and legacy with action by continuing to stand firm for justice and equality, even when times are dark.
Trump’s National Guard deployment in Oregon was a waste of taxpayer money that was unwanted and unneeded by our communities and took National Guard members away from their families. Good to see it come to an end.
ICE’s aggressive and dangerous tactics do nothing to make our communities safer. Due process is not delivered with aggression and violence. I’m fighting to stop ICE from terrorizing our communities.
Senate Republicans just BLOCKED the bipartisan War Powers resolution to end the illegal war in Venezuela. They voted for forever wars, and against the best interests of the American people.
