Wearing orange for #GunViolenceAwareness.
Too many of our communities, including here in RI, have been upended by preventable gun violence. That’s why I’ll never stop fighting for real change & #gunsense progress to protect our communities.
82 years ago, U.S. & Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy and forever changed the course of history.
On #DDay82, we remember their uncommon courage & incredible sacrifice and we honor their enduring legacy of service & commitment to freedom.
Our goal is to create a brighter future for the next generation and Project GOAL scores big for the health, safety, & well-being of RI students.
I’m proud to support this great organization & help expand their impact.
‘If you build it they will come,’ not only applies to baseball, but hoops too.
Pleased to help Central Falls open the new Francis L. Corrigan Basketball Courts.
Big shoutout to Mayor Rivera & everyone who contributed to this awesome project! #HoopDreams

Buying a home is the cornerstone of the American dream, but for many Americans, it’s out of reach.
Senate Democrats supported @reed.senate.gov amendment to the Republican budget bill to make affordable housing more accessible, but Senate Republicans blocked it.

Republicans want to give Trump’s rogue police force an additional $70 billion.
That same money could be used to build and preserve 2.1 million homes to help tackle America’s housing crisis.
@reed.senate.gov
Unrepentant & unreformed ICE & DHS don’t need another $62 billion. But Americans need more affordable homes.
I offered an amendment that would build & rehab 2.1 million homes nationwide instead of constructing more ICE detention warehouses in communities that don’t want them.
Republicans refused

Senator @reed.senate.gov calls Bill Pulte's appointment as director of national intelligence "a cynical pick of a dangerously unqualified individual. President Trump’s desire to surround himself with unqualified ‘yes men’ is one of the factors that misled our nation into disastrous war with Iran."
The DNI is supposed to ensure the analytic independence of the intelligence community and speak truth to power when necessary. There is zero evidence Mr. Pulte can fulfill either of these tasks.
As Trump’s housing czar, Bill Pulte misused his authority, ignored the law, and did Trump’s political dirty work as home prices skyrocketed and affordability worsened.
Now, Trump is promoting Pulte – who has NO INTELLIGENCE EXPERIENCE – to Acting Director of National Intelligence. #TrumpWeak
President Trump’s proposed $1.8 billion ‘MAGA grievance slush fund’ is a corrupt scheme.
@democrats.senate.gov are united & will do everything we can to protect taxpayers and flush the Trump slush fund.
Federally funded research has driven historic progress when it comes to pediatric cancer research. We must keep the promise of the Childhood Cancer STAR Act & invest in new cutting-edge treatment strategies and clinical trials.
President Trump may not care about lowering your costs & bringing an end to his war with Iran, but I sure do. And so do vast majority of Americans.
It’s time to actually put America first: End the tariffs, end the war, & end Trump’s reckless, chaotic policies.
Saluting the life & incredible legacy of WWII Machine Gunner & lifelong RIer Roger Desjardins. Roger was 101 years young when he passed away this month & truly made each & every day count. He brought so much joy to so many & will be missed by all.
More bad news from Trump’s economy. At 3.8%, inflation is at its highest level in ~3 years.
Republicans need to start working with Dems to put an end to Trump’s inflation-fueling war in Iran & start lowering costs for working families.
Visited North Kingstown High School’s new Machinist Career & Tech Education facility for a look at how innovative school programs are preparing our students for good-paying careers supporting RI manufacturers & our national defense. Keep up the great work!
Thankful for the local veterans, Gold Star Families, & community members who gathered today in Central Falls to honor our fallen servicemembers & their families.
Today we pause to honor & remember the courageous sacrifice of those U.S. military servicemembers who gave their lives in defense of our nation. #MemorialDay
Powerful tribute to our fallen servicemembers at Fort Adams this Memorial Day weekend.
Special thanks to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island for organizing their 10th annual Boots on the Grounds for Heroes Memorial and bringing RIers together to honor U.S. servicemembers killed in action.
Celebrating the achievements, dedication, & service of Brown University’s student veterans, ROTC cadets, and graduating officers.
Special shout-out to the terrific U.S. Army ROTC grads who will be joining the ranks as newly commissioned second lieutenants. Congrats!
