I’m proud my bill to rectify this injustice has advanced out of committee, and I will continue fighting until all of our veterans can access the benefits they deserve for their selfless service to this country.
Many veterans who served at the Nevada Test and Training Range were exposed to toxic radiation during their service and suffer from health challenges because of it – but they can’t access the same benefits as their Dept. of Energy civilian counterparts.
Gas prices are the highest they’ve been in four years – and Nevada is one of the states being hit the hardest. All while groceries and health care continue to get more expensive. Do you feel like you are better off?
The Constitution is clear: children born in the United States are citizens. It is critical that the Supreme Court upholds the Constitution and puts an end to Donald Trump’s attempt to revoke citizenship from children born in the United States.
Soaring gas prices are making Americans skip meals, miss prescriptions, and pay more for their grocery bills. Trump hasn’t done anything to address affordability, and the American people are paying the price.
If Trump restarts explosive nuclear testing in Nevada, the dangerous effects will be felt far beyond our state.    I’ll fight against any and all efforts by this Administration to resume this unnecessary and reckless testing.
“Thank a Democrat?” Have Senate Republicans forgotten about the BIPARTISAN bill we passed to pay our TSA workers, Coast Guard, and FEMA – only for House Republicans to refuse to bring it up for a vote? 🧵
My Democratic colleagues and I tried for weeks to pass funding for TSA and other critical parts of DHS. Senate Republicans finally came to their senses last week and agreed to a bipartisan bill to get it done – only for House Republicans to refuse to bring it up for a vote. ⬇️
It was great to visit the Obodo Urban Farm and Greengrocer in the Historic Westside. Tameka and her team are instrumental for the community and provide a space for fresh produce and resources. Thanks for having me!
When the Trump Admin announced a new rule that would’ve resulted in drastic benefit cuts for disabled veterans, I joined veterans across the country in calling on the VA to overturn it.🧵
Republicans in Congress could have worked with Democrats to extend the ACA enhanced premium tax credits, but they refused. Now, Americans are being forced to choose between eating a meal or going to the doctor. Washington Republicans should be ashamed of themselves.
In 2022, Democrats passed landmark legislation to cap the cost of insulin at $35 for Medicare beneficiaries. Now, I’m joining my colleagues in introducing a bipartisan bill to do the same for those with private insurance. I’ll keep working to bring down prescription drug costs for all Nevadans.
The Trump Admin is trying to end automatic work permit extension for already vetted immigrants with legal status, forcing them to stop working or be fired by their employer. I’m fighting back against this ill-conceived rule that will only harm our economy and hurt thousands of hardworking families.
Is anyone surprised that DOGE’s mass job firings and funding cuts led to major disruptions in health care services for Nevada veterans? Our veterans deserve better and we need to identify and address the full impact of Trump’s cuts on veterans services.
Hardworking Nevadans should be able to afford a home. I’m proud to introduce bipartisan legislation to support small businesses in the housing industry, which will help boost the housing supply and reduce costs. I’ll keep working to lower costs for Nevada families.
