10 years ago, a horrific act of racism and hatred took the lives of nine innocent worshippers at Mother Emanuel Church in Charleston.
We must condemn and stamp out racism & hate in all its forms. May we remember these nine souls and work towards a more peaceful, just world free of bigotry & hate.

I'm outraged.
Washington Republicans just rolled out their version of the Big Ugly Bill.
They're proposing even bigger cuts to health care and are scaling back the Child Tax Credit.
Guess what stayed in? Tax cuts for billionaires.
Even MORE cuts to health care? If this budget weren't already bad enough, it just got worse.
I'll be voting NO and if I weren't a preacher, I'd tell you what kind of no.
DACA was established 13 years ago today, and yet there’s still no pathway to citizenship for the Dreamers who came here as children and know no other home.
Congress needs to pass legislation to create a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers and fix our broken immigration system.
Truth crushed to earth will rise again.
I know times feel dark right now, but ultimately, it is only in the dark that we can see the stars.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! Thinking of my father today, whose love inspired and prepared me for a life of service.
Fatherhood is an incredible gift that I’m thankful for every day. The only thing I love more than being a pastor and Senator is being a dad!
Andy Young, a civil rights giant and mentor of mine, told me this story which often comes to mind when I reflect on this moment.
It's the people that create the context for change through peaceful protest. Don't let anyone tell you your voice doesn't matter.
Today we mark the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. Georgia is the proud home of multiple Army bases. I’m honored to work on behalf of our Georgia service members bravely serving in our state and across the world. Thank you for your service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

I grew up in public housing & made it through college with the help of Pell Grants.
What keeps me up at night is the fact that my story would be so much more difficult to achieve today.
The working & middle class have been ignored for far too long.
I'm fighting to change that.
This is a dark day for our democracy, but we cannot be intimidated by those who are attempting to weaponize fear & despair.
The Administration's actions against Sen. Padilla are egregious and part of their continuing assault against any form of checks and balances.
There is no sugarcoating this: These are dark times for our democracy.
I stand in solidarity with my friend & colleague @padilla.senate.gov.
It’s time to close the chapter of endless tax giveaways for billionaires and giant corporations. It’s time to take bold action to save the middle class.
A better future is possible if we raise our voices and demand it together.
Some good news: The Atlanta-based CDC will be rehiring hundreds of employees who were recklessly terminated by the Trump admin earlier this year.
The fight is far from over but this proves that when we raise our voices together, we can win.
We don't suffer from a poverty of resources; we suffer from a lack of moral imagination.
Instead of giving tax breaks to billionaires, let's invest in:
-Education & training
-Health care
-Cutting RX prices
-Child care for the working class
Yes, I am worried.
Reckless cuts have left us completely unprepared for hurricane season.
Spoke to some folks who came to Washington today to bear witness and stand against the Big Ugly Bill. If we raise our voices together, we can beat this.
Great to run into some military chaplains today at Walter Reed! Thankful for their service to our country and the pastoral care & guidance they provide our service members.
The price of health care is out of control. The status quo is not working.
But cutting Medicaid is the wrong way forward.
We deserve more affordable options when it comes to health care, not fewer.
This admin is firing all of our nation's top vaccine advisors in order to replace them with their cronies.
At the same time, they plan to rip health insurance away from millions.
A recipe for disaster.
Here’s an idea:
Instead of giving tax cuts to billionaires, let’s invest that money into boosting the Child Tax Credit.
Working families need a hand up, especially as Trump’s tariffs drive up costs.
