Senator Elizabeth Warren: Voting on this bill occurred at 10:30 on a Sunday night with as little notice as humanly possible.
If you think you're doing something good, especially in Washington, you do it out in public.

Senator Amy Klobuchar: When you don't have enough reviewers at the FDA to look at complex medical devices, you step backwards because devices aren't going to get approved or they get approved without a thorough review.

Administrator Brooks-LaSure: It is so important for us to work on making it easier for people to enroll in coverage rather than make it more difficult.
Senator Ron Wyden: The far right's main strategy is screening people out of the process of getting signed up.

Senator Alsobrooks: Mr. Kennedy made the assertion that he had not fired any working scientists. That is patently false. There have in fact been hundreds of scientists from the NIH, FDA, CDC, and FDA who have lost their jobs.

The arbitrary arrest of Salvadoran human rights defender Ruth Lopez is another blow to freedom of expression in that country.
President Bukele is a corrupt dictator determined to stamp out any criticism and conceal his deals with gangs.

Charles Kushner pled guilty to tax fraud, lying to the government, and retaliating against a witness. But because he's the father of President Trump's son-in-law, the Senate voted to confirm him as Ambassador to France.
It's nepotism of the highest order.
I voted no.
Whether he’s slashing health funding, firing health workers, or trying to take Medicaid away from millions, President Trump is attacking the health of our country.
Today, I will hold a forum with my colleagues exposing this harm to America.

I’m glad that Mohsen Mahdawi had the opportunity to attend his graduation from Columbia University. Vermont was cheering him on.
Colleges cultivate free speech and different viewpoints. We must protect that right.
For the first time in history, Moody's has stripped the U.S. of the top credit rating.
Our economy can't afford for President Trump to continue pursuing an agenda that blows up our national debt to give tax cuts to billionaires.
Margaret and I are praying for President Biden, Jill, and the Biden family during this difficult time.
We join Vermonters in wishing him a full recovery.
When this chapter in American history is told, my colleagues and I will be judged on whether we spoke out against one of the most widespread attacks on freedom of speech ever, or whether we chose to stay silent.
I will speak up.
Higher Prices. Disrupted Supply Chains. Overall Uncertainty.
Because of President Trump’s trade war, consumers will pay the higher price on everyday items they need.
It’s a double blow that President Trump is trying to take away food assistance from millions of working families while at the same time imposing tariffs that will raise the cost of food for everyone.
It's been over two months since the Israeli government has allowed food and medicine into Gaza.
That's why I've introduced a resolution with my colleagues urging the Trump Administration to use every tool at their disposal to stop the blockade and allow aid to enter Gaza.
April 30: Trump family announces new golf resort in Qatar
May 11: Qatar gives Trump a $400 million dollar luxury jet
Today: Qatar and U.S. sign statement of defense cooperation
This is corruption, pure and simple.
So many Americans work hard every day but lie awake at night worried about paying their bills.
It's unbelievable to me that Republicans are on the cusp of taking away health care and food assistance from millions of people so they can give tax cuts to billionaires.
Andry Hernández Romero did everything he was supposed to do: He waited for an asylum appointment. He was found to have a credible fear of persecution. He was in America legally.
But with no due process, President Trump deported him to a brutal mass prison in El Salvador.
President Trump has halted over $9 million in funding to build EV chargers in 14 towns throughout Vermont. They would make it more convenient to charge electric cars, which lower emissions.
This funding is from a legislation Congress passed. It's illegal for Trump to stop it.
