Thank you Mark Anthony Thomas, President of the Greater Baltimore Committee (GBC) for hosting a conversation about the Baltimore region’s priorities.
I’m looking forward to continue working with the over 400 GBC members partners to keep delivering for the Baltimore region.
Had a meaningful conversation in Baltimore today at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum. I heard directly from local seniors, veterans, health care workers, artists, and parents about the issues impacting them and how I can support them.
Baltimore — I am fighting for you.
I met with the Eastern Shore Association of Municipalities and discussed concerns about frozen federal funds on projects from public safety to affordable housing.
I’m always willing to work with anyone for the benefit of Maryland.
We need to get this critical funding moving.
What a great morning meeting with agricultural leaders on the Eastern Shore. I am grateful to hear their concerns from frozen federal funds to the Avian Flu.
Thank you MD Agriculture Sec. Kevin Atticks! And special thank you to Layton’s Chance Vineyard and Winery for hosting us.
So who’s footing the bill for Republicans’ billionaire tax cut? The nearly 2 million Marylanders on Medicaid.
It’s abhorrent.
Honored to meet with over 30 pastors from across our state to hear about how the Trump Administration’s actions are impacting their congregations.
As a woman of faith, I am so grateful to be able to have this open dialogue with clergy who are leading our communities.
Great to tour Fort George G. Meade alongside COL. Yolanda Gore, 89th Garrison Commander of Fort Meade.
The work happening at Fort Meade from combat support to cybersecurity and so much more is protecting our national security and keeping Maryland and our nation safe.
Thank you BWI Thurgood Marshall for hosting us and giving an indepth briefing on the airport and facilities projects!
And a special thank you to Executive Director Ricky Smith - who is off to run the Atlanta airport. We are forever grateful for his service to Maryland.

#MD02: I want to hear from you! 📢
Join me, @alsobrooks.senate.gov, @vanhollen.senate.gov, and retired Senator Ben Cardin for a virtual town hall tonight at 6 PM. We’ll discuss the President’s reckless actions and the harmful GOP budget bill. Tune in here: olszewski.house.gov/live
Had a great afternoon at the Prince George’s County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta’s 49th Annual Scholarship Benefit and Fashion Show.
Congratulations to all of the super amazing scholarship recipients!
Honored to join Prince George’s County African Diaspora Advisory Board’s 4th Annual International Women’s Day.
Thank you to the Chair of the African Diaspora Advisory Board Vincent Iweanoge. Maryland is stronger and more inclusive thanks to their work.
The unconscionable Republican CR cut $1 billion in funding for D.C. – funds that have literally already been paid for by D.C. residents.
So we introduced a bill tonight to ensure that D.C. receives the tax dollars it is owed. The Senate just passed it.
My vote is an unequivocal no.
This bill lacks decency and good old fashioned common sense.
Read a book or a Bible and you’ll know how this turns out.
Let’s be very clear. This Administration doesn’t care anything about middle class and hardworking people.
They care about billionaires.
I was proud to introduce my friend County Executive Ball today and discuss protecting our workers.
He has heard directly from Maryland civil servants who have gotten resignation letters at the same time as receiving letters for promotion.
This Administration is a disgrace.
My bill will:
✅Study the impact tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico will have on consumers, businesses, and U.S. employment
✅Force the Admin to release the data about the impact of these tariffs to the public www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/202...
Trump said his tariffs will cause a ‘little bit of disturbance.’
My bill - the Tariff Transparency Act - will force him to prove it.
Americans deserve the facts.
A great public education is a core part of the American dream.
A great public education generates pathways to good paying jobs.
And in one fell swoop, this President moves to crush that dream all so he can pay for tax breaks for billionaires.
It’s downright shameful.
While Republicans are refusing to hold Town Halls for their constituents, Team Maryland is showing up.

Great to meet with Jacob Day, Maryland’s Secretary of Housing and Community Development, today!
On the Banking Committee, I oversee most federal housing policy - so I look forward to working together to make housing more affordable for Marylanders.
