Honored to share Brian’s story, a constituent from #SouthGate, CA.

@housedemocrats.bsky.social will fight like hell against these cuts because the American people — people like Sasha— should not have to fight so hard to receive the care they need to live.
If the Republicans’ budget passes, at least $715 billion will be cut from Medicaid and health care, and at least 13.7 million Americans will be kicked off their health insurance.
House Republicans want to stop us from calling a lie a lie.
I will happily call out any and all Republicans publicly who want to censor House Democrats from speaking on these dangerous policies pushed by Trump and Republicans that will gut Medicaid for millions of Americans.
Republicans are about to cut health care for millions of Americans.
Tune into our @energycommerce.bsky.social Committee’s livestream of the mark-up session of House Republicans’ proposed cuts to Medicaid in their reconciliation bill:

Today’s the day.
The Energy & Commerce Committee — where I serve — is holding a markup on the Republican budget plan to gut Medicaid.
They want to slash nearly $1 trillion in healthcare. I’ll be in that room, fighting back and carrying these Medicaid stories with me. #ProtectMedicaid

Republicans are going to try to take health care away from tens of millions of Americans to give tax breaks to the wealthy and corporate interests.
In today’s Democratic Daily Download, Rep. Frank Pallone shares how Democrats are fighting back because Medicaid matters to the American people.
Medicaid isn’t just a safety net.
It’s the difference between getting care — or going without.
Patricia’s story reminds us what we’re fighting for. #ProtectMedicaid
Dockworkers, truck drivers, small businesses in our port communities will all suffer. Also will result in higher prices & empty shelves across the country. This is the Trump & Republican economy — pain for all Americans.
ZERO ships scheduled into our San Pedro Bay ports of @portoflosangeles.bsky.social and @portoflongbeach.bsky.social on Friday out of China. ZERO!

Feliz Día de las Madres a todas las madres, figuras maternas, tutoras y cuidadoras cuya fuerza, amor y resiliencia han moldeado nuestras comunidades y nuestro país!
Happy Mothers’ Day to all the mothers, mother figures, guardians, and caregivers whose strength, love, and resilience have shaped our communities and our country!
You can’t cut nearly $1 trillion from Medicaid without cutting people off from care.
Deaka’s story shows exactly who gets left behind. #ProtectMedicaid
#SanPedro’s Mars Vasquez was awarded 1st place this year for her artwork, “For Jane Roe”. Her powerful piece represents Lady Liberty as a symbol of resilience in the fight for reproductive rights. Mars’ artwork will be hung in the halls of the U.S. Capitol this year for all to see!
Thank you to all of the student artists who participated in our annual Congressional Art Competition! Every year I am so impressed by the artistic talent of students from our #CA44 communities. They continue to tell us powerful stories & a belief in a better future for all through their art.
@HouseDemocrats.bsky.social will continue to shine a light on how Trump and House Republicans’ dangerous policies are harming the American people.
Trump says a traffic slowdown at our ports “is a good thing.”
Mr. President, it is NOT a good thing. Your tariffs are causing layoffs, less shifts, & less work at our ports, surrounding communities, and throughout the region—making life more expensive for every American family at the checkout line.
Medicaid saved Carmen’s life.
Now Republicans want to take it away — all to give billionaires a tax break.
I’m fighting to protect their care. #ProtectMedicaid
We will NOT be silenced or intimidated. Trump may not care about the Constitution but we do. Members of Congress have a right & responsibility to conduct oversight whenever & wherever needed.
This is America & House Democrats will continue to stand up & do our job & hold this Admin accountable.

The Republican budget cuts basic needs programs for women and families, including Medicaid and SNAP.
On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @demwomencaucus.bsky.social Chair @fernandez.house.gov shares what moms really want for Mother’s Day. (Hint: it's not tax breaks for billionaires.)
