I didn’t vote for this deal. But where do we go from here?
I know there are House members from both parties who want to keep our health care crisis from getting worse.
It’s on Speaker Johnson to hold a vote, restore these tax credits, and bring down costs.
A 50-year mortgage just shows how shortsighted this administration is.
For a slightly lower monthly payment, you end up paying WAY more interest in the long term.

The president is willing to try everything - including unproven strategies that undercut Americans’ bargaining power - to avoid extending tax credits that we KNOW will bring premiums down.
It’s time for Republicans to get serious about addressing this health care crisis.
It’s unconscionable how hard this administration would fight the court to deny people access to nutritious foods.
But as they leave Americans behind, many of our states are stepping up to fill the gap.
That’s why I introduced the SNAP Back Act— to repay states that do the right thing.

It’s unbelievable that we’re in the longest shutdown in HISTORY… and Donald Trump is still too scared of Democrats to work out a deal and prevent huge premium increases for millions.
This plan is plain and simple: reopen the government, and extend the ACA tax credits as-is for 1 year so families don't have to suffer while we work to negotiate long-term fixes.
We have the chance to make a real impact— I hope my Republican colleagues will join us.
