Annie and I are praying for Joe and Jill as they confront his prostate cancer diagnosis. Over his decades of public service, Joe comforted so many of us in tough times and contributed so much to fighting cancer. Now we need to support and encourage him.
AmeriCorps members are the heartbeat of our nation’s commitment to service. My message to Donald Trump and Elon Musk is simple: Don’t take America out of @americorps.bsky.social.
.0018% odds that a Social Security claim is “likely fraudulent.” We literally have a better chance of getting hit by an asteroid. So why are Republicans letting Trump, Musk, and DOGE destroy Social Security over it?
SCOOP: Since SSA installed new anti-fraud checks on claims made over the phone, only 2 claims out of over 110,000 were found to likely be fraudulent, according to internal documents I obtained. The policy has slowed down payments, though. Retirement claim processing is down 25%
Due process isn’t just for undocumented immigrants. It’s for stopping US citizens from being deported. It’s for you. Trump’s efforts to attack due process for deportations should alarm every one of us. Read my new op-ed in @foxnews.com.web.brid.gy here ⤵️ www.foxnews.com/opinion/sen-...
What did we get from Trump's "deal" with China? We still have the highest tariffs on imports since the 1930s, costing families thousands of dollars a year for everyday purchases—and that's before his full tariffs kick back in. Trump's ego won this deal. Americans lost it.
Ahead of Trump’s Middle East trip, half my Senate Democrat colleagues joined me in urging him to secure a new ceasefire and restart the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza. Hamas must be destroyed, but a full reoccupation of Gaza would be a disaster for Israelis and Palestinians.⁣
Republicans just proposed a budget that would kick nearly 14 million Americans off their health insurance––just to fund another massive tax break for billionaires. They're not looking out for you. ⁣
Trump’s new Social Security Administrator, Frank Bisignano, supports Trump's and Musk's plans to destroy Social Security.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Is it too much too ask that someone in the administration stand with hard-working families and support our seniors?⁣⁣
President Trump & Elon Musk: Don’t take America out of AmeriCorps. The richest men on the planet shouldn’t be focused on dismantling services for the most vulnerable of our neighbors. I’ll keep standing up in the Senate for these programs because they make our country and its people better.
Let's be clear about what we've seen in the last 24 hours: Republicans are OK with Trump getting a $400 million jet from the Emir of Qatar, but they don't have any issues with kicking 8.6 million Americans off their health insurance.
Accepting a $400 million plane from the Emir of Qatar is an appalling decision by Trump. He doesn’t care about corruption. He doesn’t care about the law. He doesn’t care about our national security. He doesn’t care about you. He only cares about himself.
Happy Mother’s Day! I'm grateful for my mother, Sally, and everything she did for my brothers and me, and for our whole family⁣ ⁣ To my wife, Annie–your compassion and strength make me better every day. Our children and I are blessed to have your presence guiding our family.
When Trump took office, there was a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, hostages were being released, and aid was getting into Gaza. Now, none of that is true. The blockage of aid is causing a humanitarian crisis in Gaza and Israel is readying a long-term occupation of the Strip.
