Senate Republicans just voted to cut families off their health insurance and drive up premiums for millions of Americans. They've proven they aren't working for you. And we won't forget it. Read my statement on their vote:
American families are struggling to afford everything from their everyday necessities to their biggest-ticket expenses. Trump has only made it worse with his tariffs. And while he says he's giving the economy an "A+++++," Americans struggle — what a joke.
Between the Trump Tariff Tax and skyrocketing health care costs, small businesses can't afford President Trump's destructive policies. We can't let this administration tear down the small businesses that support our communities.
Powerful words on the importance of the enhanced ACA tax credits from Illinois State Rep. and cancer survivor, La Shawn Ford. "No one should have to fight for access to health care on top of fighting for their life."
The majority of Americans agree — we need the Affordable Care Act — including a record number of independent voters. This isn’t partisan. Without the enhanced ACA tax credits, millions of Americans won't have access to health care.
We're facing an affordability crisis in this country, and this long-overdue minimum wage increase will help hardworking New Yorkers pay their bills and feed their families. Raising the minimum wage has always been one of my top priorities, and I'm proud to continue this fight on the federal level.
Survivors of domestic violence need support to recover and rebuild. I was glad to sit down with the Korean American Family Service Center and discuss how we can best stand up for survivors and work toward violence-free communities.
