Over the last 41 days, Trump's cruelty took center stage.
He let millions go hungry, fired thousands of federal workers, & denied veterans support, all because Democrats wanted to lower health care costs.
Lawless, corrupt, & cruel. That is how history will remember this regime.
Part of Congress's job is to oversee our military and ensure our national security.
This regime is preventing that from happening.
From denying free press to now censoring communication with Congress, Pete Hegseth is weakening oversight that supports our military and keeps it strong.
I've said it over and over again; these are not normal times.
Trump is illegally refusing to fund SNAP and is now asking states to UNDO any work to feed hungry Americans amidst the funding lapse.
There is nothing normal about a regime that fights to keep its people hungry.
Republicans can find the money to give permanent tax breaks to billionaires, but can’t be bothered to extend the tax credits millions of Americans rely on to afford their health care.
Trump on the economy: "wait until 2026"
Republicans on health care negotiations: "wait until we reopen the government"
Prices are skyrocketing, and millions are losing access to the care they need — Americans can't wait.
We need affordability, accessibility, and action now.
Trump's flippant announcement about resuming nuclear testing was as dangerous as it was ill-informed.
I joined my colleagues to strongly urge the President to reverse course.

This regime is literally begging a court to let it deprive hungry kids and seniors of food. The cruelty is the point.
Today is day 38 of Republicans' shutdown.
38 days of Republicans refusing to come to the table to work with Democrats and do right by the American people.
Trump doesn't think he's mean.
But right now, he's deployed the National Guard to several U.S. cities, is letting immigration authorities routinely detain U.S. citizens, and wants to deprive MILLIONS of Americans of health care and food.
Mean isn't strong enough; he's cruel.
Republicans' record on health care and the economy is to make everything MORE expensive for Americans.
Democrats are the ones fighting to lower costs and expand access to health care.
Americans are realizing who's on their side, and they know it's not Republicans.
Republicans had the chance to work with Democrats to lower your health care costs, but instead they more than DOUBLED them while keeping the government shut down for 37 days and counting...
Trump is illegally withholding SNAP funding from MILLIONS of Americans and punishing grocery stores trying to help hungry families.
He literally is doing MORE to STARVE Americans than he is to feed them.
Republicans when asked to elaborate on their health care plans: 🦗🦗🦗🦗
When you continue shifting blame from one thing to the next, you can’t help but wonder if you’re the problem…
I think he's projecting.
Yesterday, Americans from the shores of Virginia to the boroughs of NYC chose affordability and compassion over chaos and injustice.
Democrats are not the ones who are scared — we are hopeful and ready to keep fighting.
The government has been shut down for 36 days – the longest in our nation’s history – simply because Republicans refused to make health care affordable for Americans.
On top of refusing to reopen the government while withholding SNAP funding, this regime has cancelled USDA's annual hunger report.
They can try to erase the data that proves their cruelty, but they can’t erase the pain of MILLIONS of hungry Americans.

A list of 5 is a list of 5 too many.
There is ZERO reason this regime should be making the hunger crisis in our country WORSE.
Illegally withholding SNAP funds and stripping food banks of resources, Trump is CHOOSING not to help hungry Americans, simply because he doesn't care.
Today is day 35 of Republicans' shutdown, tying a historical record for the longest government shutdown... since the last time Trump was in office.
It's almost like he's a routinely, historically bad leader...
The headline speaks for itself.
This DOJ reeks of corruption.
