My statement on this morning's attack on the Jewish community at Bondi Beach. My heart goes out to everyone impacted.

Statement from Representative Hoyle:

On the first night of Hanukkah, a time to celebrate light and hope, the mass shooting at Bondi Beach that deliberately targeted the Jewish community was horrific and is one more tragic example of the rise in antisemitic violence and threats that we have seen since October 7th. My heart goes out to the Jewish community and those impacted in Australia and here in Oregon. People should be able to worship and practice their faith traditions without fear of being murdered. Once again, as we are faced with another senseless, violent attack, we must remember to not let hate win this day and instead stand for peace.

I didn't know 'America First' meant sending our kids to die for oil in another foreign war. President Trump's strikes in the Caribbean & his impending war in Venezuela are illegal without a vote by Congress. We the People deserve a say in if our kids get sent to die in a repeat of the Iraq War.
