Personally, I’m more worried about the families barely making ends meet that are shelling out extra thousands of dollars from Trump’s tariffs than mega corporations. The American people need relief.
🙋♀️I’m one of the 70% of Americans who believe the U.S. should make a deal to end the war in Iran as quickly as possible. This war is too costly, too reckless, too illegal, and too unpredictable to continue.
Trump’s war in Iran is also threatening our country’s affordable housing supply – when we already don’t have enough! Another reason to permanently end this war now.
ICE detained an Army wife this week at her immigration appointment – where she was literally following the legal process. We can’t make people jump through a ton of hoops and then detain them when they do.
No one wants $3+ gas through 2027. End the war in Iran permanently. And do it now.
Over $1 billion made in perfectly timed bets on the Iran War doesn’t seem like a coincidence. It seems like insider trading. This needs to be investigated immediately.
It’s go-time. We have 8 DAYS to get real reforms and privacy protections in FISA’s Section 702 reauthorization to stop the government from spying on US citizens without a warrant.
I’m working with a bipartisan group of my colleagues to get this done.
I’m saddened by the passing of my colleague Congressman David Scott, who will be remembered as a trailblazer, a civil rights champion, and a passionate advocate for Black farmers and nutrition programs. May his memory be a blessing to his family, friends, and all who knew him.
The U.S. fertility rate has dropped – but not because of birth control. Women need health care, child care, paid leave, and access to fertility care. Instead, the Trump Administration is trying to undermine contraception access and push an anti-choice agenda.
The cost of raising a child over 18 years is now $300,000 and a huge part of that is the enormous cost of child care.
Republicans talk a big game about being pro-family, but *actually* supporting young families means making life more affordable – including child care!
If you paid federal income taxes at all last year, then you paid more than at least 88 of the biggest corporations in America.
Over $105 Billion of profits went untaxed, in part thanks to Trump's corporate tax breaks in the Big Ugly Bill. It’s so backwards.
This was never about going after violent criminals – it was ALWAYS about stopping all legal immigration.
The skyrocketing price of oil and gas has generated $30 Million in profits every HOUR for Big Oil during the first month of Trump's war in Iran.
You pay more at the pump while Trump's Big Oil CEO friends line their pockets.
Happy Friday to everyone except Trump and Speaker Johnson, who tried to sneak through a long-term extension of FISA’s Section 702 (a law that’s long been abused to spy on Americans without a warrant) at 2AM last night.
Luckily, we blocked it – and we’ll keep fighting for real reform.
After calling the Pope (the Pope!) “soft on crime,” Trump is now working to erase the convictions of violent, dangerous criminals who stormed the Capitol.
The U.S. military reportedly blew up 2 more boats in the Eastern Pacific, killing 5 people – bringing the grand total up to 168 people killed (that we know about).
Once again: this is murder. There was no due process. And these strikes aren’t making Americans safer – they’re making us a target.
The national average gas price was $2.98/gallon the day Trump decided to launch this war with Iran. Now it’s well over $4.
What’s worse is this was predictable – Trump just didn’t care.

Calling all CA-51 high school artists: submit your work to the Congressional Art Competition for a chance to have your art hung in the U.S. Capitol!
The deadline is this Friday, April 17th. For more info on how to submit:
I’m voting yes RIGHT NOW to stop Donald Trump’s war in Iran.
It’s sad that politics are part of the calculus for my Republican colleagues when we’re talking about an expensive, deadly war that is already spiraling out of control. BUT they still have time to do the right thing and join Democrats to pass our war powers resolution to end this war.
