Amy Jean Klobuchar is an American politician and lawyer serving as the senior United States senator from Minnesota, a seat she has held since 2007. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), Minnesota's affiliate of the Democratic Party, she previously served as the county attorney of Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Exactly zero veterans think the problem with the VA health care system is that there are *too many* staff providing care. But Trump's VA has now decided it won't fill thousands of open positions. We need answers about what this will mean for veterans.
After years of fighting alongside Julie Paidar, whose husband, firefighter Mike Paidar, died of leukemia in 2020, we finally passed the Honoring Our Fallen Heroes Act to ensure the families of firefighters who die from service-related cancers get the support they deserve.
It was wonderful to join Senator Coons to thank our U.S. Capitol Police officers this holiday season, including with some cookies! I enjoyed speaking with Chief Sullivan and the dedicated men and women who keep members, visitors & staff safe every day.
Families of firefighters who die from service-related cancer deserve the same benefits as others lost in the line of duty. My bipartisan Honoring Our Fallen Heroes Act makes sure that happens. It just passed the Senate and is being signed into law by the President today.
Brendan Carr is using the FCC to target the President’s political opponents, launching investigations into every major network except Fox. This isn't enforcing the law—it's retaliation. We must protect free speech and keep our independent agencies independent.
I just returned from a hearing to conduct oversight of the FCC.   We should be focusing on expanding broadband access.    But Chairman Carr has used his position to threaten free speech.   I asked whether attacking political speech is OK. His answer is alarming.
Just a few years ago, FCC Chairman Brendan Carr defended political speech, saying it must not be censored. But now he is using his position to target people for what they say on TV and investigating every major broadcast network except Fox.
Face the facts here. Republicans aren’t serious about health care. Republicans have never been serious about health care. They have no plan. Not even a ‘concept of a plan.’ All they know is what they’re against: Medicare, Medicaid and Affordable Care.
Victims of Epstein's abuse—like 17-year-old Danielle Bensky, who was coerced with false promises of help for her mom’s brain tumor—deserve justice and transparency. They deserve the full release of these files, without redactions to protect Trump or other influential people.
Americans shouldn't lose the Child Tax Credit or Earned Income Tax Credit just because a storm or flood wiped out their income. My new bipartisan Working Families Disaster Tax Relief Act prevents families from being punished for circumstances beyond their control.
AI has the potential to significantly disrupt our democracy by misleading voters with deepfake videos. We need common-sense rules of the road on AI, not to eliminate the few safeguards Americans have at the state level.
The last thing our veterans need is FEWER people making sure they get the health care they need. This is a grossly short-sighted decision by Secretary Collins. We need answers and accountability.
Because Congressional Republicans voted against extending the health care tax credits, families are seeing their premiums double or triple. Now they're considering junk plans, going without coverage, or delaying starting a business.
