I joined my colleagues in sending a letter to USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins demanding answers on recent USDA firings. These layoffs threaten USDA’s ability to address avian flu, process farm loans, and disaster relief, and distribute grants for rural infrastructure & services. This is unacceptable.
New Mexico Chile President is in the U.S. Senate! Introducing Mr. Ben Etcheverry, a community leader, agricultural expert, and advocate from Deming, NM, in the Senate Ag Committee was a privilege. I will always bring more New Mexican voices to the table to help make better policy for our state.
Despite what this administration is telling you, vaccines work. Lower vaccination rates have caused a measles outbreak in New Mexico. I led a letter from the NM Delegation to Secretary Kennedy urging him to rehire fired CDC employees and launch a campaign to improve measles vaccination rates.
It was an honor to speak to a room full of public utility commissioners from around the country this morning. I was once a public regulator myself, so I know the importance of working across party lines to make things better and more affordable for all communities.
🚨 DELETED FROM WH.GOV The administration just deleted information & resources from its website on the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women & violence against Indigenous women. To the families of missing or murdered women: you will never be erased. Linking resources below, please share:
Measles was eliminated decades ago thanks to safe and effective vaccinations. Sadly, it's making a comeback in our state and putting our children and communities at risk because of lower vaccination rates. Vaccines work despite what the Trump administration is pushing.
It’s been three years since Russia brutally and illegally invaded Ukraine. President Trump is attacking President Zelensky and the people of Ukraine while embracing Vladimir Putin. It's completely un-American. I stand with the people of Ukraine.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff: Fired Chief of Naval Operations: Fired Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force: Fired Judge Advocates General for the Army, Navy, and Air Force: Fired.
The GOP budget rips funding away from programs that feed seniors, veterans, and children, programs that provide babies and families with health care, and programs that keep folks warm in the winter. Why? To give tax breaks to his rich friends and donors in the Trump Tax Scam 2.0.
Kash Patel was just confirmed by Senate Republicans to follow through with President Trump’s agenda of revenge and retribution against his "enemies list." He has no business leading the very agency that he’s called to dismantle. I voted NO.
