New Mexicans who have suffered from radiation exposure have waited far too long for justice. I was proud to help expand RECA so New Mexicans can receive the compensation they deserve. This new online tool will make it easier for New Mexicans to apply and receive compensation. Apply today.
support a funding package that does not include accountability and meaningful reforms to end this violence. Although ongoing bipartisan negotiations to reform ICE and protect our communities are a step in the right direction, these critical reforms must be enshrined in the law to earn my support.
Under the Trump administration, our nation has witnessed federal immigration agents kill two American citizens in Minneapolis while the administration has responded with outright lies and escalation. With ICE operating out of control under Secretary Noem and Stephen Miller, I cannot (cont.)
The Trump administration arrested journalists for exercising their First Amendment rights. The FBI raided a GA election office as part of a baseless conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election. And the White House is targeting states that did not vote for this president by cutting off critical funding.
On the one-year anniversary of the DCA crash, I’m praying for the families and loved ones of the 67 people we lost. We must honor their memory by doing everything possible to prevent this from ever happening again.
I voted NO on advancing the funding package before the Senate. There must be real accountability at the Department of Homeland Security. Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller need to go. DHS and ICE must be reined in.
Stephen Miller is the architect of some of the worst and most dangerous of the Trump administration's policies. This includes the chaos in Minnesota. I called for his firing years ago, but he continues to serve in this White House. When will enough be enough? He should be fired.
No one is above the law or accountability. Secretary Noem should resign or be fired, but President Trump continues to stand by even his most dangerous admin officials. The House is right to move forward with an investigation into Secretary Noem. Americans deserve accountability and transparency.
We saw with our own eyes a U.S. citizen killed by Trump’s federal agents. Yet this admin continues to spread lies.   What must happen now: a full and independent investigation; Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller must resign or be fired; and not another dollar for Noem’s DHS without real accountability.
Kristi Noem and Donald Trump’s ICE is out of control and terrorizing our communities. With multiple deadly shootings of American citizens by federal agents in Minnesota & no accountability, I will not support an appropriations bill that funds DHS without real oversight, transparency, & consequences.
Yesterday, I joined folks from across New Mexico for the Annual MLK Breakfast hosted by Grant Chapel AME. It was inspiring to see our communities come together and recommit to creating the change we want to see in the world, not just on this day, but every day.
X’s Grok AI tool is being used to generate nonconsensual sexualized images of women and children. This is unacceptable. @wyden.senate.gov, @markey.senate.gov, and I are demanding that Apple and Google remove X and Grok from their app stores until Elon Musk addresses these heinous violations.
