Hardworking Nevada families are being squeezed by the high costs of groceries. Senate Democrats just forced a vote on @lujan.senate.gov’s provision to help lower families’ grocery bills and reverse Republicans’ cruel cuts to food assistance programs. But Senate Republicans shamefully blocked it.
Not only are Republicans trying to pass a budget resolution that does nothing to make things more affordable for Americans, they’ve also blocked my amendment to feed children, seniors, and veterans.
@democrats.senate.gov just forced ANOTHER vote to end President Trump's illegal war that the American people never asked for. Republicans fell in line with President Trump AGAIN. It's long past time for Republicans to join us, stand up to Donald Trump, and end this reckless war.
Communities of the Chama Valley have cared for this land and water for generations. President Trump thinks he can come in and sell off our public lands to the highest bidder for uranium mining, but he’s wrong. There is only one Chama – it is our sacred responsibility to protect it.
Trump's illegal war is emptying the bank accounts of Americans and is now impacting their ability to travel. Whether it’s for vacation or in times of an emergency, Americans should always have the ability to get where they need to go at affordable prices. Americans did not vote for this disaster.
I am heartbroken for my friend and colleague, Senator Warner, and the loss of his daughter, Madison. I am praying for him, Lisa, and their entire family as they face this profound loss.
Kash Patel was never fit to lead the men and women of the FBI. He’s abused his power for personal gain while using the agency to do Donald Trump’s bidding. He should step down immediately.
Kash Patel’s colleagues are alarmed by what they say is erratic behavior and excessive drinking, Sarah Fitzpatrick reports. More than two dozen people she spoke with described his management failures and conduct that could harm national security. theatln.tc/SS6krazR
The Netanyahu government has repeatedly rejected paths to peace and continues to deepen humanitarian suffering. The U.S. must use its leverage to demand change. I support ending the fighting, surging humanitarian aid, and ensuring safety and prosperity for Israelis and Palestinians. (2/2)
I voted with Senator Sanders to block hundreds of millions in additional weapons to the Netanyahu government. It will only enable destruction, undermine a two-state solution, and escalate the illegal war with Iran. (1/2)
@democrats.senate.gov forced accountability and demanded action from Republicans to tell Trump: enough is enough. The American people do not support this war, and they’re paying the price for it every day.
BLM plans to release a Draft Environmental Assessment in the coming months, followed by just 14 days for public input. 14 days to save a 1,000+ year old heritage site? Follow for more updates and when the public comment period will start. Let’s keep fighting to protect Chaco.
Trump’s Bureau of Land Management is once again trying to fast-track decisions that impact Chaco Canyon, a 1,000+ year-old sacred cultural and historical site, with an outrageously short public comment period. They think we aren’t paying attention.
It was great to have AG Raúl Torrez in the office today. We spoke about the issues that are top of mind for NMs – out-of-state legal firms who prey on NMs for financial gain, kids’ online safety, and justice for wildfire victims. We will never stop fighting to make things better for our state.
New Mexico Wild was in my office last week to talk about protecting the Gila River – one of our state’s most treasured landscapes. I’m fighting to protect our lands, safeguard our rivers, and make sure New Mexico’s natural heritage is preserved for generations to come.
