OK Senator Hawley, let’s put aside the fact that you voted for the largest cut to SNAP in history just this Summer.
Before Leader Thune adjourns the Senate bring your bill to fund SNAP to the floor and let’s try to pass it.

"Talking" about health care later isn't going to do anything for people whose premiums are doubling or even quadrupling.
Prices are getting locked in. "Talking" about this LATER is TOO LATE.
Trump’s tariff policy is as strategic as a toddler playing with a light switch.
Donald Trump has the money to make sure people on SNAP get their benefits, even in a shutdown.
He is CHOOSING not to.
And don't forget: Republicans passed the LARGEST cut to SNAP in our nation's history.
BREAKING: Democrats just tried to pass a standalone bill to fund WIC & SNAP to make sure families don't go hungry during the Republican shutdown.
Republicans BLOCKED it. So Trump won't use emergency funds to keep SNAP running, and Republicans won't let any bills pass. Shameful.
Window shopping is now open on healthcare.gov.
Find your plan—and if you don’t think you can afford it anymore, tell Republicans to work with Democrats to reopen the government and address skyrocketing health care premiums.
As premiums skyrocket for millions of Americans, @baldwin.senate.gov and I sat down to rank the Republican health care plans that address this imminent crisis!
What's Trump been up to during the shutdown?
Shoveling $40 billion to bail out Argentina, asking DOJ to pay him $230 million, and demolishing the East Wing to build a $300 million gold-plated ballroom.
But he won't lift a finger to stop premiums from more than doubling.
The president should be meeting with congressional leaders on both sides every single day until government is open.
Instead, Trump is in Asia pining to meet dictator Kim Jong Un and he's focused on building himself a $300 million ballroom.
It is painfully clear Republicans are not listening to folks back home.
What families nationwide are saying is: "Please stop my premiums from doubling."
And what are Republican leaders saying? "Not our problem, we never wanted to lower health care costs in the first place."
Trump has single-handedly raised taxes more than any president in my lifetime.
He has imposed, without any approval from Congress, billions of dollars in new tariffs—all paid for by the American people.
House Republicans talking health care during their six-week-long paid vacation:
I happen to believe that your elected officials should vote to reopen government AND keep your premiums from more than doubling.
Government should be open and Americans shouldn't go bankrupt to afford health care.
The President is refusing to spend a cent of emergency funds to keep SNAP benefits from running dry, but he did move heaven and earth to send $40 billion to bail out Argentina.
Rep. Newhouse and his House colleagues have not been in session and voting for WEEKS now—it’s an absurd abdication of their responsibility to the American people.
Get back to work. Negotiate, reopen government, and save the ACA tax credits.
More miserable lies won’t change the facts: federal law ALREADY prohibits any undocumented immigrant from receiving Medicaid, Medicare, or coverage under the ACA.
Trump is NOT a doctor and no one should be taking medical advice from a man who once told people to inject bleach.
Talk to your doctor and listen to the experts—not conspiracy theorist quacks like Trump and RFK Jr.
President Trump—the man who passed the largest cuts to SNAP in history—is CHOOSING to let families go hungry.
He is outright refusing to use an emergency fund to pay SNAP benefits, even though USDA said they would just last month!
Trump needs to keep SNAP running.
The government has been shut down for 27 days.
Families are already seeing their premiums skyrocket for next year.
This is a crisis and NEVER in my time in office have I seen a president who won't even TALK to the other side about a solution. This is absurd.
There are NO KINGS in America—our Constitution is very clear that no president can serve more than 2 terms.
This is the LAW, not a suggestion and no wannabe dictator can change that.
