Eleanor Holmes Norton is an American politician, lawyer, and human rights activist. Norton is a congressional delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives, where she has represented the District of Columbia since 1991 as a member of the Democratic Party. She is serving an eighteenth term in the United States House of Representatives.

Fun fact: Most members of Congress and their staff get their health insurance via DC Health Link. If the health tax credits aren’t extended, their health insurance costs will go up, like millions of other people around the country. An extension is in everyone’s best interest.

As one of the largest advertisers in the US, the federal government must ensure fair access for small disadvantaged businesses and those owned by minorities and women. I introduced a bill to require agencies to report the amount they spend on these contracts in their annual budget justifications.
