WATCH: Sen. Ossoff is pressing the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the State of Georgia to get long-overdue disaster aid to Georgia farmers — now nine months since Hurricane Helene and six months since Congress appropriated the assistance.
In 2023, Sen. Ossoff delivered funding to Helping Mamas, a non-profit diaper bank and essential baby supplies provider. Since then, Jamie Lackey and Helping Mamas have opened a new office in Southwest Georgia and expanded their services to thousands more moms and kids across Georgia.
Sen. Ossoff on the GOP reconciliation bill: “This bill is a direct attack on the industry that is driving Georgia's economic development, job creation, and wealth creation in our state right now.”
Sen. Ossoff: “This bill is a trillion dollar cut to Medicaid…I have been warning for months that this gutting of the Medicaid program puts Georgia seniors, Georgia mothers, Georgia children at risk.”
“This bill is an unmitigated catastrophe for Georgia,” U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff said in an interview Monday. “It is a disaster for Georgians’ health care. It is a disaster for Georgia industry. And it will add trillions of dollars to the national debt.” www.ajc.com/politics/202...
