It's ineffective foreign policy to pretend that half of the world's population doesn't exist. Investments in women is a force multiplier and has been proven to strengthen national security outcomes. I urge Sec. Rubio to uphold his commitments – and the law – and implement these critical programs.

Last year, Secretary Rubio committed to me that he would maintain programming at the State Department that supports women and girls around the world. But under his leadership, the State Department has terminated dozens of awards and shuttered key offices associated with these programs.
Senate Democrats said HELL NO to that plan, and successfully forced them to strip all taxpayer funding for Trump’s ballroom out of their budget that they passed last week. Nevadans work hard for their money, and I’m proud to stand up against a terrible misuse of tax dollars.
Senate Republicans tried to use $1 billion of taxpayer dollars for Trump’s ballroom in their partisan budget – while they’ve still done nothing to help American families afford the rising cost of living.
Inflation just hit the highest point in three years as groceries, gas, and other basics just keep getting more expensive. Trump's response? He loves it. Unbelievable. See for yourself:
Happy birthday to my incredible husband, Larry!!
Former Air Force Sergeant Dave Crete brought this injustice to light — and thanks to his advocacy, we’re making progress on my legislation to finally get these veterans the care and benefits they deserve.
Because these veterans don't have the same presumption of exposure as the Department of Energy civilians they served alongside and struggled documenting their service due to classification, they've been denied VA benefits for far too long.
Many veterans who served at the Nevada Test and Training Range were exposed to radiation and toxins during their service and got sick because of it.
I’ll keep working to improve our airport infrastructure so our airports have the resources they need to continue welcoming visitors into our state.
I’m proud to have secured $10 million in federal funding at the end of last month for Boulder City Municipal Airport – the third busiest airport in Nevada. This funding will go toward building a new air traffic control tower to keep the airport running safely and efficiently.
On the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, we honor and thank all of the brave servicemembers who stormed the beaches of Normandy. Their heroism in defense of our freedoms altered the course of history and led to liberation in Europe.
May we always honor their patriotism, courage, and sacrifice.
Happy National Immigrant Heritage Month! This month and always, we celebrate NV’s immigrant community who contribute so much to the economic prosperity and culture of our state.
I'll keep fighting to ensure that our immigrant communities have the support they need to achieve the American Dream.
Secretary Rubio refused to answer my question when I asked him if Trump or any family member could access this money. I am deeply concerned by what the Admin plans to do with these funds, which are meant to support the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and help Palestinian civilians.
Donald Trump’s Board of Peace is taking donor money and depositing it into a private JPMorgan account – and we have no transparency about who is overseeing these funds and how they will be used.
Buying a home is the cornerstone of the American dream, but for many Americans, it’s out of reach.
Senate Democrats supported @reed.senate.gov amendment to the Republican budget bill to make affordable housing more accessible, but Senate Republicans blocked it.
But we know that Trump will do anything he can to get his way – so Senate Democrats forced a vote today to make sure he can NEVER use taxpayer money for his ballroom. Republicans refused to join us and instead blocked our efforts.
In the first version of Senate Republicans’ budget bill, they tried to give Trump $1 billion in taxpayer dollars for his ballroom. Democrats fought back and forced Republicans to strip out this wasteful spending.
Almost every single Senate Republican is now on the record supporting $2 billion of YOUR tax dollars going toward Donald Trump’s illegal slush fund.
While you continue to be squeezed by rising costs, they want to give YOUR hard-earned money to Donald Trump's buddies. Despicable.
I am a hell no on Washington Republicans’ plan, and my Democratic colleagues and I will be forcing votes all day to stop Trump’s corrupt slush fund for good and redirect money to programs that actually lower costs for hardworking families. Stay tuned for more updates.
