Over 10 years ago, I worked to open the first and only VA facility in the Monadnock region. And after a years-long effort, I'm proud to announce the VA finalized a lease for a new Community Based Outpatient Clinic that will improve access to care for our state’s veterans.
For roughly 8 million Americans, access to insulin is life-or-death. With health care costs rising across the board, we must make sure this life-saving drug remains affordable. By capping insulin at $35 per month, my INSULIN Act would do just that.
There were severe sanctions on Iran at the start of this war, but if President Trump wants to do additional sanctions, let’s do it in a separate bill. But this bill is moving and it will put more pressure on Putin.
Our Russia sanctions legislation narrowly targets the biggest purchasers of Russian oil and gas that are funding their war machine. If we can put more pressure on Putin, we can get him to the table and end this war.
ACA enrollment is plummeting. Billions cut from Medicaid. Tax credits that help pay for premiums expired. At every turn, Republicans are making health care less affordable. American families deserve better. apnews.com/article/affo...
Nobody should be forced to choose between life-saving medication or paying rent. Yet this is reality for Americans managing diabetes. We must end this crisis, and by capping insulin costs at $35 a month, my INSULIN Act would be a major step in doing just that.
The momentum is with Ukraine. Russia's economy is being hit hard, their oil infrastructure is under attack by Ukrainian drones and they are losing over 30,000 casualties a month in Ukraine. The more pressure we can put on Putin now, the better chance we have to end this war.
This new Russia sanctions bill is an effort to narrow the focus and to really get at those countries that are helping to fund this war in Ukraine and fund Russia's war machine. China is number one on the list.
The American people overwhelmingly think that we should not be in a war with Iran, and they don't want to see the increased costs in energy and gasoline prices. It's important for us to get back to the negotiating table with Iran.
The Trump Administration reduced training for ICE agents, hired unqualified people and did nothing to ensure ICE agents in Maine were wearing body cameras. They are responsible for what happened in Maine. It is completely unacceptable and must end now.
Putting troops on the ground in Iran or on Kharg Island or in the region in a way that's going to endanger more lives is not something that the American people will support. The President has had no strategy for this war from the very beginning. It's been a failed effort.
This Russia sanctions bill is a one-two punch that's really going to put pressure on Putin. It comes at a time when there's real momentum on behalf of Ukraine. Russia's losing over 30,000 casualties a month in Ukraine. This is a real opportunity to get Putin to the table.
Yesterday, the President claimed he was going to charge a 20% toll on traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, then backtracked. Despite asking Congress for billions to backfill the Iran war, it appears the Pentagon doesn’t know how it will use foreign funds to enforce a military blockade.
On Monday, ICE agents were involved in yet another deadly shooting, this time in Maine. There must be a full and transparent investigation into what happened, why it happened and what can be done to prevent more deaths.
For decades, UNH and @noaa.gov have produced critical research, and I'm proud to have secured millions in federal funding to support their efforts. It was wonderful to see the site of their new research center, which will ensure our state remains a global leader in ocean mapping.
Since the President started his war in Iran, families in New Hampshire have had to pay nearly $600 more for gas. And now, with President Trump restarting the war, the burden on families across my state will only get worse.
Republicans refused to extend ACA enhanced premium tax credits, and now we’re seeing the result: spiking premiums that are making health care even more unaffordable. Americans want lower costs, yet Republicans are doing just the opposite. pbs.org/newshour/hea...
