You’d be hard pressed to find ANY hospital that isn’t in need of a CNA, but apparently vets had to wait until Musk deemed this worker worthy.

A nursing assistant at the VA had their offer rescinded, then restored, then paused, until finally being hired after months of back and forth because of this Administration.
Only ¼ of eligible families currently get vouchers to help cover their rent. A lot of these families could become homeless or be put on the brink of homelessness if we cut Section 8 funding.
Just a cruel move that will only make the housing crisis worse and harm millions of families.
NEW: The White House is preparing a budget that could include deep cuts to federal housing funds, and a reconfiguration of housing vouchers/Section 8 that may result in low-income families losing aid. Many told me the details are hazy, but the result is fewer dollars www.nytimes.com/2025/04/17/u...
I’ve been in real world Minnesota today hearing how Trump cuts to Medicaid will shut down rural hospitals.
So pardon me if I don’t have patience with JD Vance trying to change the subject.

Great to be in Luverne with @smith.senate.gov to celebrate the opening of the new Kids Rock Child Care Center!
We worked together to secure federal funding for this new center, which will make a big difference for kids, families and businesses by expanding child care options.
If there’s one thing from my visit to a rural hospital in Hendricks, Minnesota everyone should know, it’s this: We should be talking about how we can improve Medicaid… not kicking people off of it.
The entire Upper Midwest is going to suffer long-term economic pain from these blanket tariffs.
Canada is one of Minnesota's largest trading partners – there's so many shared lines of products that are made in Minnesota using parts that are made in Canada and vice versa.
Those supply chains are breaking and can’t just be rebuilt with the flip of a switch.

I’m about to board my flight to El Salvador, where I hope to meet with senior government officials to discuss the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
I also hope to see Kilmar and check on his condition — and remind him that we won’t stop fighting until he’s home.
One thing I've learned over the last 85 days - believe these guys when they say what they're going to do.
Elon Musk called Social Security a Ponzi scheme and said it had to be eliminated - consequences be damned, apparently. They're gambling your future and don't care who gets hurt.
DOGE wants to cut programs that are a lifeline for many Americans - I’m not going to make it easy for them.
Today I visited Heavens Table Food Shelf to see how their staff and volunteers are helping Minnesotans put food on the table in Martin County.
Massive shoutout to @vanhollen.senate.gov for fighting to bring his constituent home, even if he has to fly to El Salvador himself.
America follows the rule of law, not the whims of a dictator. The President can’t just ignore the Supreme Court.
Return Mr. Abrego Garcia to Maryland.
I’ve suspected it was only a matter of time before Trump openly defied SCOTUS.
His refusal unambiguously reveals what he wants: Unlimited, unchecked power to do whatever he wants to whomever he wants.
And trust me, this isn’t the end, it’s just the beginning — unless we stop him.
Dictators disappear people – that’s what they do.
The Supreme Court ordered Trump to work to bring Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia home to his family + three kids in a 9-0 unanimous decision.
Trump’s defying that order and refusing to take responsibility for his mistake. That’s complete lawlessness.
Residents like Lisa aren’t asking for much — radiators that keep their families warm and windows that keep out the bitter cold of Minnesota winters.
Repairs were slated to start — until DOGE got word and put the whole project in jeopardy.
Got to spend the morning with our State Patrol at the Roseville Dispatch Center to see how they keep Minnesotans safe. Thank you all for your service and thanks for having me!

Billionaires won't feel the difference if public schools shut down — but students sure will.
We’ve got to stick together, stand up, and fight back against Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s attack on the Department of Education.
So maybe this isn’t real, or it WAS real until a grownup found out about DOGE’s latest.
AGAIN: There is no way to get the massive billionaire tax cuts they want and cut $1.5 trillion from the budget without taking away people’s health care.
Basic math.
