Yesterday, I joined fire fighters with the Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union (MPFFU) at the International Association of Fire Fighters reception. They shared stats about the high rates of cancer among fire fighters and the need to get PFAS out of fire fighting foam and gear.
Michigan is home to the most specialty crops in America with regular access to water. They’re still reeling from President Trump’s tariffs, and now we need to know what these growers should expect from his farmer bailout.
The goal now is to assess storm damage, expedite storm cleanup, and work to restore power for those impacted by this terrible storm. As communities recover, please be wary of scams related to tree removal and storm cleanup.
