But what has been so heartening is that even more people called in with positive feedback. With encouragement.

Leadership climate is set at the top. So, when President Trump calls for me to be killed and hanged, many people take that as license to call into my office and say even worse. youtube.com/shorts/4rP7Y...
Why President Trump’s proposed 50-year mortgage is a bad deal.
Today marks 4 years since the school shooting in Oxford, an event that changed that community, and the entire state. I’m thinking of the families and friends who lost someone. Events like this have ripple effects that go on for years. So I’m thinking of the Oxford community today.
Our firefighters are on the frontlines, not just in their communities but on so many of the issues that are ripped right from the headlines. Health care, mental health, and the state of our economy. Was glad to tour the fire house this week in Inkster with the MI Professional Fire Fighters Union.
Great to meet with leaders across Western Wayne this week. We discussed key local priorities: public safety, transportation, and economic development. Thank you to the Conference of Western Wayne for helping organize, and to each of these local leaders for taking the time to connect with me.
We talked honestly about what families are facing: long waitlists for Medicaid mental health, the need for more behavioral health services, and how hard it is to get the care when you need it most.
This week, I visited Starfish Family Services along with Senator Dayna Polehanki. Their team is doing incredible work, serving nearly a thousand little ones across 14 early-childhood centers and running mental health clinics that support families from birth to adulthood.
Whether you’re attending a Thanksgiving parade or watching some football (Go 🦁’s!) — wishing everyone a safe, delicious, and family-filled Thanksgiving!
Sending prayers and strength to the friends, families and fellow guardsmen of the two West Virginians who were shot in DC. These individuals signed up to serve because they cared about their community and their country, and to have this happen the day before Thanksgiving is heartbreaking.
What is happening at the Department of Justice?
Today in Inkster, I walked through the hectic events of the last few days, including what appears to be the new FBI inquiry.

A lot of disinformation is circulating about what Senators/Representatives Slotkin, Kelly, Crow, Deluzio, Goodlander, and Houlahan actually said. Here is the transcript. It contains no accusation that the President issued unlawful orders, no call to disobey lawful orders, and no advocacy of mutiny.

Facing threats, Sen. Elissa Slotkin pushes on
He uses legal harassment as an intimidation tactic to scare people out of speaking up.
This isn’t just about a video. This is not the America I know, and I’m not going to let this next step from the FBI stop me from speaking up for my country and our Constitution.
The President directing the FBI to target us is exactly why we made this video in the first place. He believes in weaponizing the federal government against his perceived enemies and does not believe laws apply to him or his Cabinet.
Last night, the FBI's Counterterrorism Division appeared to open an inquiry into me in response to a video President Trump did not like.
This idea of illegal orders is not hypothetical.
This is the President’s playbook: using intimidation, harassment, and the weight of the federal government to try and silence anyone who speaks up against him.
That won't stop Senator Kelly, or any of us, from standing up for what’s right.
