Whoops! Another reminder that Musk's chainsaw massacre of federal agencies has nothing to do with efficiency and everything to do with gutting services that benefit all to rig the government for the few. Remember: Project 2025 calls for selling off the NWS to the highest bidder…
A dangerous politicalization of intelligence — right out of the “Dear Leader” playbook.   Punishing nonpartisan analysts because they won't bend facts to fit the president's narrative will wreck our intelligence community and endanger our country.
It's insane that a judge once again had to make this clear, but I'm glad they did: college students and faculty exercising their First Amendment rights are NOT A NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT. The Trump Administration needs to read the Constitution and stop these illegal abductions.
First Trump admitted white South African "refugees" under the gross lie that they're facing “genocide.” Now he's abdicating U.S. leadership at the G20 in South Africa. Trump is continuing his sick global apartheid policy while China takes the wheel at the G20. America in retreat.
Today marks two months since the Senate unanimously passed my bill with Senator Collins to fix the D.C. budget time bomb set off by House Republicans. If they don't pass this bill, D.C. won't be able to use its OWN money to fund its OWN schools, public safety and more. They must act.
I’m closely monitoring the dangerous floods in Western Maryland and have offered our support to local officials and first responders on the ground. My thoughts are with all those affected and I salute all those working to protect our communities.
The only people benefiting from Trump’s tariff mess are those playing the wild swings of the stock market. The rest of America is suffering from price hikes and economic chaos. China is eating Trump’s lunch and America is paying the price.
Today marks 3 years since Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was shot and killed while reporting in the West Bank—and we've yet to see accountability for her death. As I told her brother Tony, her niece Lina and her nephew Victor last week, I won't rest until we do.

I salute the 600 Naval Academy grads who released a letter condemning Trump's book bans at the Academy.   At this week's Board meeting, I moved to reverse the ban & made clear I won’t give up the fight. Are we really afraid to have midshipmen read Maya Angelou’s “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings”?
The Trump/Musk chainsaw massacre of public services continues. The Trump Admin has said that these patriotic public servants have been fired for performance. That was a BIG LIE. If poor performance were the test, it’s Trump, Musk and the billionaire cabinet who should be FIRED.
Trump and Musk are about to give refugee status to 60 white South Africans — who do not need it — while Trump locks up and deports refugees here who face genuine dangers in other countries. This is the sick global apartheid policy being adopted by this lawless administration.
🚨NEWS: A judge has ordered the release of Rumeysa Ozturk — the Tufts student illegally abducted and detained for exercising her First Amendment rights, saying "there is no evidence" she did anything wrong. This is a victory for the rule of law. These baseless abductions must STOP NOW.
This is just another example of Trump trying to hide the impact of his polices and the corrupt bargain he struck with Big Oil companies. Ignoring disaster data only puts more Americans in harm’s way and drags us backwards in the fight against climate change.
The Chief Justice — who rarely issues these sorts of public rebukes — has once again condemned calls to impeach judges.
The Trump Admin's assault on our independent judiciary is right out of the authoritarian playbook. The American people won't tolerate it.
