Today Trump and Netanyahu talked about their plan to have Palestinians "voluntarily" leave Gaza.   Let's be clear: nothing about this is voluntary — it would mean the coerced deportation of 2 million people from Gaza and U.S. taxpayers should have NOTHING to do with it.
Trump is trying to rewrite the history of the Underground Railroad — even diminishing its conductor, MD's own Harriet Tubman. The Underground Railroad is an important part of the American story. We cannot let him whitewash it as part of his larger effort to erase our history.
Republicans just rammed their terrible budget plan through the Senate. It's never been more clear: they are hell bent on passing a giant tax giveaway for billionaires like Elon Musk at the expense of everybody else. We won't stop fighting.
We'll be in the Senate late into the night fighting this Republican plan to deliver tax cuts for billionaires at everyone else's expense. We've offered amendments to protect Medicare, Medicaid and so much more. Republicans have blocked them all. The Great Betrayal in action.
Trump has thrown our economy into chaos. And what’s he doing about it? He’s at the golf course in Florida. And what are Senate Republicans doing? They’re setting in motion their plan for a giant tax giveaway for billionaires at everyone else’s expense. The Great Betrayal in action.
Remember when Musk boasted he was taking a "chainsaw” to federal programs? After blowback from Americans all over the country, watch how his DOGE boys are trying to rebrand. They’re not fooling anyone:
🚨UPDATE: The judge has ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia to be returned to the United States by Monday. This is great news for his family and our country. In America, we have due process. This should never have happened and he must be returned NOW.
Today a federal judge in MD is hearing the case of Mr. Garcia — the Maryland dad whom the Trump admin refuses to bring back to the US after they admitted to deporting him due to an "administrative error." What they're doing is unacceptable. Mr. Garcia has a right to due process.

Donald Trump talks about his tariff plan like it's a miracle cure — like it's something that'll fix all of our problems and make us all rich. Problem is, that's just not true. It's a massive sales tax on working people and it will hurt our economy.
Erdoğan arrested his political rival and locked up thousands of protestors — and the Trump Administration just shrugged it off. Meanwhile, Trump is disappearing a Turkish Fulbright student and others for exercising free speech rights. Birds of a feather flock together.
Remember when Elon Musk "accidentally" canceled Ebola prevention programs? That was pretty bad, but then he said those programs had been restored. Good news, right?   Wrong.   Turns out that was a bold-faced lie — Ebola prevention was never restored. Watch⬇️
There's a reason Trump didn't announce his disastrous tariffs yesterday: people would've thought it was an April Fool's joke. Unfortunately, this is no joke. Trump's plan will raise prices and hurt working people.
Today is National Sales Tax Day — the day Trump plans to implement big, across-the-board tariffs. It’s not a happy holiday for working people. As just one example, watch my exchange with a housing expert on how these types of tariffs would cause a big jump in housing prices⬇️
Yesterday the Trump administration admitted they deported a Maryland dad to El Salvador due to an "administrative error". That doesn't just speak to their raging incompetence — it shows their total disregard for due process and basic rights:
My friend @booker.senate.gov just made history — but that’s not why he’s doing this. He’s doing it because he knows there can be no business as usual when our democracy and our country are under attack by the lawless Musk-Trump administration. Proud to be with him in this fight.
