Today, we received another CLASSIFIED briefing on Iran, as this Admin refuses to hold public hearings w/ the war's real architects, like Rubio & Hegseth, b/c they want to hide the truth. The American people are watching the costs of this war of choice rise. They deserve ANSWERS.
This week, Senate Republicans are trying to ram through the so-called SAVE America Act, a bill designed to make it harder for certain citizens to vote in order to rig elections in their favor. This is a fraud masquerading as an election integrity effort. We can't let this pass.
In addition to the lives lost & the fact that it's making us less safe, the Iran war has cost $12 BILLION so far. With that we could provide: - Healthcare for 1.3 MILLION people, or - SNAP for 5.5 MILLION people, or - Universal pre-K for 900,000 kids How is this America First?
Trump promised to bring down prices on day 1. But prices are soaring & Americans are making very tough decisions to scrape by. From launching a multibillion-dollar war of choice to refusing to extend ACA tax credits, it's clear Trump never gave a damn about reducing your costs.
It’s been 24 days since the Supreme Court struck down Trump’s illegal tariff tax & he still has no plan for paying back the money he stole from American families. When are they going to see the $1,700 he owes them? Return the money, NOW!
Last month another American was killed in the West Bank, the 9th in just over 4 years. Israeli settler violence is out of control but the Trump Admin, like the Biden Admin before it, hasn’t gotten justice for any of these killings. Rubio & Huckabee: DO YOUR DAMN JOBS!
Not one more dime for an illegal war of choice that is making us less safe. The best way to protect our troops, end the killing of school children and civilians, reduce skyrocketing oil and gas prices, and stop wasting billions of taxpayer dollars is to cut off the funding.
Americans are working harder & longer & still can't make ends meet. I'm proposing a bill to cut taxes for 130 million workers, paid for by a surtax on income over $1 million a year. It's time our tax code worked for working people & the wealthiest pay their fair share.
In January, I joined 100s of Marylanders in Hagerstown who made clear they did not want an ICE detention facility near their community.     While Trump’s lawless ICE operation continues to ignore public sentiment, this is an important ruling.   The fight continues.
It is both pathetic & dangerous to see Republicans actively stoking a religious war in a country that was founded on the value of religious freedom.   Fortunately, the good people of NYC did not fall for this grotesque, bigoted fear mongering against @mayor.nyc.gov.
Every American deserves to feel safe in their place of worship. I’m appalled by this attack on a synagogue in Michigan, especially as Jewish communities across our country face increasing threats from antisemitism. There can be no place for violence or hate in our nation.
On the campaign trail, Trump pledged he would not drag America into another war. Then he became the first president stupid & reckless enough to put American lives at risk in support of Israeli PM Netanyahu's 40-year quest for a regime change war in Iran.
For months, we warned DOGE's access to Americans' private data was ripe for abuse. And here it is: A former DOGE employee stole the Social Security numbers & personal info of over 500 MILLION Americans. Musk, Trump, & their DOGE lackies must be made to answer for this, NOW.
Thank you to the first responders who responded to this emergency and who are on front lines of public safety every day. I'm especially thinking of this officer and praying for his recovery. We're keeping him and his loved ones in our thoughts.
