Huge premium hikes are coming. The Big Ugly Bill fails to extend tax credits that lower health insurance premiums. Your premiums could go up by 75% or more. All because Washington Republicans chose to put partisan politics ahead of working families.
The Big Ugly Bill will rob children of health care AND explode the debt. Think about that. Washington Republicans want to take health care away from children and then saddle them with trillions in debt. It’s wrongheaded and it’s cruel.
Deeply saddened by the passing of Congressman Charles Rangel, whom I first met as a seminary student and youth pastor in Harlem. A founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus, he dedicated his life to service—first as a military hero, then as a public servant. I'm praying for his family.
5 years ago today. On this anniversary, we honor the memory of George Floyd by recommitting ourselves to the work of building a more just society. I reject the idea that we have to choose between justice and public safety. We can and must do both.
Last week, I met with Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall—a Georgia farmer who's spent his life helping feed Georgia families. Farmers have never had it easy, and right now is an especially hard time for our producers. I’m glad to have partners like Zippy in my work to champion Georgia farmers.
