I got to know Jesse Jackson back when I was running Doug Wilder’s campaign. America is stronger and better because of his incredible leadership on civil rights – from his work to overthrow Jim Crow laws to his historic presidential campaign. A grateful nation mourns him.
Folks ask why ICE agents at polling places would be such a bad thing since voters are U.S. citizens anyways… This is why.
We cannot allow legal voters to be intimidated by ICE agents that act with impunity no matter your immigration status.
Prices up, jobs down. This is Trump’s economy.
Happy Lunar New Year!
To all celebrating across the Commonwealth, I wish you a wonderful celebration spent with family and friends and a new year filled with peace, prosperity, and luck.
We’re not ready for the impact AI is going to have on our workforce.
Every week in the Senate, I am working to make sure we’re building an economy that can withstand these massive upheavals.
It’s long past time for Kristi Noem to resign or be fired.
No secret police.
It’s time to get sensible reforms at ICE, including unmasking these agents.
In just one year of RFK Jr, we’ve seen an unprecedented spike in measles cases and a rapid decline of our scientific reputation across the globe.

AMERICANS – not foreign companies – pay 96% of the cost of Donald Trump’s tariffs.
He enacted an enormous sales tax, and it’s a big part of why prices keep going up.
The Trump admistration is trying to imprison their political opponents… for informing servicemembers of their rights.
Americans stood up and said no.
But we have to ask – how much further will this administration go to silence free speech?
I join my fellow Virginians in mourning the loss of King Salim Khalfani, a civil rights activist and former executive director of the Virginia NAACP.
He was a great man who overcame every obstacle put in his path. May his legacy carry on.
A group of Buddhist monks have made their way through Virginia and are now concluding their 2,300-mile Walk for Peace in DC.
I hope their goal of promoting peace and mindfulness encourages us all to take a moment of self-reflection and remember our shared humanity.
NEW: An unsealed affidavit shows the Fulton County raid originated from an election denier and makes it clear there’s no foreign intelligence nexus.
So why was Tulsi at the raid?
Sounds like it could be about getting back in Trump’s good graces & interfering in the midterms.
No secret police.
ICE agents should be held to the same standards as local law enforcement – no masks and basic identification visible.
Ghislaine Maxwell abused children.
It’s unbelievable that the Trump administration moved her to a much cushier prison.
If Trump pardons her, it will raise even more questions about his role in this cabal of sex traffickers.
