AI has some incredible applications, but it also will likely upend our economy and make it harder for young adults to find jobs. I’m deeply concerned, and I’m focused every week on finding solutions for us to help ease the transition and help folks land in good-paying jobs.
I got to know Jesse Jackson back when I was running Doug Wilder’s campaign. America is stronger and better because of his incredible leadership on civil rights – from his work to overthrow Jim Crow laws to his historic presidential campaign. A grateful nation mourns him.
Folks ask why ICE agents at polling places would be such a bad thing since voters are U.S. citizens anyways… This is why. We cannot allow legal voters to be intimidated by ICE agents that act with impunity no matter your immigration status.
We’re not ready for the impact AI is going to have on our workforce. Every week in the Senate, I am working to make sure we’re building an economy that can withstand these massive upheavals.
In just one year of RFK Jr, we’ve seen an unprecedented spike in measles cases and a rapid decline of our scientific reputation across the globe. Americans will die because of his poor leadership.
“Since I got to this center all you will feel is sadness and mostly depression.” These are the words of a 14-year-old held in an immigration detention center. Trump is spending your tax dollars keeping kids like Ariana in detention, not lowering costs.
The Trump admistration is trying to imprison their political opponents… for informing servicemembers of their rights. Americans stood up and said no. But we have to ask – how much further will this administration go to silence free speech?
I join my fellow Virginians in mourning the loss of King Salim Khalfani, a civil rights activist and former executive director of the Virginia NAACP. He was a great man who overcame every obstacle put in his path. May his legacy carry on.
A group of Buddhist monks have made their way through Virginia and are now concluding their 2,300-mile Walk for Peace in DC. I hope their goal of promoting peace and mindfulness encourages us all to take a moment of self-reflection and remember our shared humanity.
NEW: An unsealed affidavit shows the Fulton County raid originated from an election denier and makes it clear there’s no foreign intelligence nexus. So why was Tulsi at the raid? Sounds like it could be about getting back in Trump’s good graces & interfering in the midterms.
