They are in America lawfully. In fact, they are here because they put their lives on the line in Afghanistan to help protect our troops.
I am overjoyed that justice has been done for Rihan & his family in his release from ICE’s unlawful, abusive detention. Neither he nor his father, Zia, should ever have been seized & incarcerated.
Very special celebration at Fairfield County Juneteenth Grand Marshal’s Ball in Trumbull. Looking forward to the Parade in Bridgeport on June 13th!
Flipping pancakes with friends at the 63rd annual Greenwich Lions Club Pancake Breakfast on Saturday. Lots of enthusiastic hungry donors at this wonderful community event.
Lots of joy & pride at ribbon cutting for New England Jewish Academy’s new wing & playground. Thanks to generous donors made it possible.
Binance has reportedly facilitated billions of dollars for Iranian sanctions evasion & illicit Russian oil sales. As a part of my PSI investigation, I’m demanding information on Binance’s compliance with its DOJ/FinCEN anti-money laundering settlements.
Instead of protecting musicians & their fans, the DOJ cut a last-minute, corrupt bargain with Trump’s friends at Ticketmaster & attempted to sabotage this important case. Congratulations to the state AGs & advocates that kept fighting & secured this huge victory.
Last month, I released a PSI report that demonstrated—based on internal documents—how Ticketmaster leveraged its monopolistic control over ticketing & venues to drive up prices, & make concert-going unaffordable.
An important antitrust win! A federal jury has recognized what concert fans, musicians & independent venues know all too well: Live Nation/Ticketmaster is an illegal monopoly.
My advice to United: don’t even try. Attempting to takeover American Airlines—at a time when your customers are fed up with airline’s rising prices & nickle-&-diming—is a foolish move, likely causing harmful consequences for consumers.
On Yom HaShoah, we honor the memory of the 6 million Jews & millions of others who were murdered by the Nazi regime. Recalling the Holocaust’s horrors inspires us to stand against hate today.
This suit is about politics, not public safety, & represents a clear federal overreach into lawful state policy. I stand with CT in defending our right to take measures that protect our residents & strengthen our communities. 3
Instead of pursuing real reform to address alarming, often illegal conduct by CBP & ICE, this Admin is targeting CT’s Trust Act, which helps law enforcement build the relationships they need to keep communities safe. 2/
The Trump Admin’s lawsuit against CT is a baseless & wasteful misuse of federal resources that does nothing to improve public safety. 1/ ctmirror.org/2026/04/14/u...
I do not recognize America in ICE’s cruelty. CT is standing behind Rihan & his family who came from Afghanistan to escape torture & death because they helped our troops & kept them safe. Free Rihan & abandon this abhorrent effort.
How anyone can doubt the need for AI guardrails is beyond me. The dangers grow more frightening by the day. My bipartisan legislative framework for protection & prevention of harm offers a path forward.
The law forbids withdrawal from NATO without Congressional approval, but Trump can fatally weaken it by depleting troops & resources. We must stop him, with bipartisan action.
Abandoning NATO won’t solve Trump’s Iran quagmire—only deepen it. Our NATO allies can be important to reopening the Strait of Hormuz & countering Putin, newly enriched & emboldened by the Iran war.
Driven by vanity & vengeance, Trump seems bent on destroying NATO, a catastrophic self inflicted injury to national security. European allies look askance at his Iran war of impulse & illusion for the same reasons Americans oppose it.
The White House, an iconic symbol of America, is the last place you’d expect foreign steel. Trump’s corrupt desecration knows no bounds. Without Congress approving, it’s blatantly illegal. I’ll continue investigating the problematic donations.
