Despite the president’s repeated promises to lower costs and create good-paying jobs for American workers, the data continue to show that the opposite is occurring. To reverse these trends, Congress must take steps to end the war in Iran and rescind the president’s harmful tariffs.
US businesses are adding workers at the weakest pace in 15 years, excluding the onset of the pandemic, new data shows, a sign that the “low-hire” labor market had slowed down even before the Middle East conflict threatened to shake the US economy. https://cnn.it/4bYHSR2
As the economy falters and millions of Americans protest in the streets, the president is attempting to seize control of elections and rig the midterms. No president has this power. The courts must strike down this blatantly illegal executive order immediately and protect the right to vote.
President Trump signed an executive order directs the U.S. Postal Service to send ballots only to voters who appear on a list of citizens to be compiled by the Department of Homeland Security with the assistance of the Social Security Administration.
I’m proud to have secured $850,000 in federal funding to support the new Grandview Station, which will serve as a farmers market & public events space for local residents I’ll keep fighting to bring federal investments that boost economic development back home to #MO05 www.kctv5.com/2026/03/31/g...
Chag Pesach Sameach to all those celebrating in #MO05! As you gather with your loved ones around the Seder table, may this season bring peace and happiness. And may we all be inspired by the strength of the Jewish people and the continuous fight for freedom. Happy Passover!
Today, the Supreme Court is hearing a case determining whether the president can unilaterally end birthright citizenship. The 14th Amendment is clear. The president cannot rewrite the Constitution. The court must uphold the law and defend birthright citizenship!
This investment not only transforms downtown into a vibrant, accessible hub where families connect, small businesses grow, and local farmers thrive, but it also builds opportunity and strengthens Grandview for generations to come.
Their vision combines education, mental health, and workforce development – meaning more opportunity, more support, and a stronger foundation for the next generation to thrive.
It was an honor to visit the future home of Cornerstones of Care’s Education Campus and see firsthand the life-changing work shaping brighter futures for foster youth across our region.
Republicans ripped health care away from millions of Americans & drove up costs for millions more to give massive tax cuts to the wealthy and well-connected. Now, they’re threatening additional cuts to health care programs to pay for the president’s reckless war in Iran. Americans deserve better.
NEW: Republicans are considering reductions in federal health spending to help pay for a budget bill containing as much as $200 billion to fund the Iran war and immigration enforcement.
Jeffries: "The only thing standing between the chaos that is taking place at airports all across the country and the American people and making sure you are no longer inconvenienced is House Republicans. Unfortunately MAGA extremists in the House continue to inflict pain on the American people"
This is not only despicable, but it is deeply damaging to our armed forces. If promotions are based on racism and bigotry, rather than skill and experience, we will lose qualified and dedicated men and women in every branch of the military. This is not leadership. Mr. Hegseth and his team must go.
"Mr. Buria [Hegseth's chief of staff] told Mr. Driscoll [Secretary of the Army] that President Trump would not want to stand next to a Black female officer at military events, the officials said." www.nytimes.com/2026/03/27/u...
After weeks of blocking funding for TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard, Senate Republicans finally relented and passed legislation to fund these vital agencies. The House should pass the bill, end the chaos, and continue negotiations that will ensure stronger guardrails on ICE and CBP.
Breaking News: The Senate voted to fund the Homeland Security Department, except for ICE and the Border Patrol, a key step toward ending a partial shutdown.
