They ripped families from their homes, targeted people at work, left peaceful protesters with life-changing injuries, and senselessly killed several Americans for simply exercising their First Amendment rights.
As the Islamic New Year begins, I extend my warm wishes to the Muslim community in CA-28 and across the nation. May the new year bring peace, good health, and prosperity to you and your loved ones.
This funding will support much-needed facility improvements and ADA accessibility upgrades to ensure the Center can continue to provide high-quality recreational programs, community services, and educational opportunities for generations to come.
I’m thrilled to deliver $1,000,000 I secured in federal Community Project Funding for Pasadena's Jackie Robinson Community Center! The Jackie Robinson Community Center has been a cornerstone of the Pasadena community for more than 50 years.
Last year, Trump announced that he would build himself a new ballroom without using taxpayer money. He lied. Now, he is spending $300 million of YOUR hard-earned money on this needless vanity project. The President is taking more from you to help himself.
Exclusive: A detailed project summary of the ballroom prepared for the White House by a contractor estimated the total construction cost at $600 million — with more than half coming from taxpayers, according to a copy obtained by The Post.
I am heartbroken by the tragic crash at Edwards Air Force Base. My thoughts are with the service members, their families, and the entire military community during this difficult time.

6 years ago, the Supreme Court, in #Bostock, affirmed employees are protected from sexual orientation and gender identity discrimination. As Trump continues to undermine the enforcement of LGBTQI+ peoples' rights—including by sabotaging the EEOC—our members are fighting back.
Celebrating six years since the Supreme Court’s landmark decision in Bostock v. Clayton County.
It's been 6 months since Republicans let enhanced ACA tax credits expire. Millions of Americans—including 66,000 in CA-28—are paying hundreds more per month to keep their insurance, or going without coverage. What happened to Trump's "concept of a plan" to lower health costs?
That’s why it's time for Congress to finally pass the bipartisan American Dream and Promise Act of 2025, which I'm proud to help lead and which would establish a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers. Dreamers make our country better – it’s time we establish permanent protections.
For 14 years, Dreamers have contributed $76 billion annually to our economy, strengthened our communities, and grown roots in the only country many have ever called home. But today, Trump is shamefully attacking Dreamers. ICE has detained hundreds and deported at least 86 individuals.
Let us recommit ourselves to ending political violence. NO ONE should fear for their safety because of their political beliefs or party.
One year ago, an act of political violence claimed the lives of Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman, her husband, Mark, and their dog, Gilbert, in their home. That same day, Minnesota Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, were also shot multiple times and survived their injuries.
As a Vice Chair of the @equality.house.gov, I am committed to building a future where no person lives in fear of the violence we saw that night.
Ten years ago, 49 lives were taken at Orlando's Pulse Nightclub. Today, we honor the victims and their families and continue our fight to end gun violence and hate crimes once and for all.
Happy Pride, San Gabriel Valley! This month and every month, we celebrate that LBGTQ+ rights are human rights. As Vice Chair of the @equality.house.gov, I will never stop fighting for equality, dignity, and safety for all.
Yesterday in @waysmeanscmte.bsky.social, I asked the SSA Commissioner how long callers actually wait before speaking to someone about their benefits. He couldn't say. Americans deserve the truth. SSA is masking the damage Trump's staffing cuts have done to customer service.
