16 years ago, the Affordable Care Act became law. Since then, tens of millions of Americans have gained affordable health care, even while Republicans constantly try to repeal it, gut it, or weaken it. I'm not backing down from the fight to protect the ACA and reverse the GOP’s health care cuts.
Serving others is one powerful way to live out our faith during Lent. I was grateful to spend time volunteering with my friend Jenny Warren in Wilmington and to talk about what active faith looks like in practice.
President Trump’s Department of Homeland Security has made Americans less secure. DHS needs a foundational shift, and I am unsure if Senator Mullin—or any Trump-appointed nominee—is capable of carrying it out. I will oppose his nomination.
This is outrageous. Trump and Hegseth keep insisting we’re in a limited engagement in Iran, but this drastic increase in ground troops tells a very different story. You know what would offer clarity? Open hearings and honesty from this administration about what on earth the goals are in Iran.
What's Trump's and Leader Thune's top priority? It's not lowering your gas prices or making your health care costs more affordable. It's... letting DHS purge state voter rolls? They need to focus on the issues that actually matter.
Trump ran on lowering grocery costs for American families—but food prices have only increased, and his war of choice will send them skyrocketing as Iran blocks fertilizer shipments. That's what happens when you leave foreign policy up to an out-of-touch billionaire. www.cnbc.com/2026/03/11/i...
🚨 @alexismjpp.bsky.social and I highlighted a new report on GOP Medicaid cuts harming @ppfa.org. Clinics are closing. Breast cancer screenings are down. Women’s health is under attack. Trump & GOP are attacking reproductive rights. Proud to co-author this report exposing it.
They are gladly holding workers’ pay hostage because they won't agree to reasonable reforms of ICE that most Americans support. Senate GOP can't say they're serious about security while refusing to fund its most basic functions.
Republicans are treating TSA workers as political leverage instead of the essential workers they are. Senate Dems have tried five separate times to fund TSA and other essential DHS functions – Republicans have blocked us every time.
When unions are strong, America is strong. Grateful for the opportunity to meet with incredible Delaware leaders from @weareliuna.bsky.social Local 1029 and discuss how we strengthen protections for workers, raise wages, and build a stronger middle class.
13 Americans are dead, and the price of gas climbed 75 cents last week, but Trump is playing golf and his administration is focused on the design of the White House columns.
American consumers have always been the last of this administration’s concerns.
Hassett: "If the war were to be extended, it wouldn't really disrupt the US economy very much at all. It would hurt consumers, and we'd have to think about what we'd have to do about that, but that's really the last of our concerns right now."
The dignified transfer of fallen service members at Dover is one of our nation's most solemn rituals. Using it as an opportunity to fundraise is an absolute disgrace. Every single person on Trump's team who signed off on this should be fired immediately. www.cnn.com/2026/03/13/p...
Americans are delaying treatment, stretching prescriptions, and cutting back on essentials because of the high cost of care and Trump's decision to slash hundreds of billions of dollars from Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.
Three weeks into Trump’s war of choice with Iran, and 13 American service members are dead, while families back home are facing soaring gas costs and skipping meals to keep up with health care and utility bills. No one is winning this war. The United States definitely isn't.
