Today's Tax Day is a reminder that Trump's $4 trillion tax cut for billionaires & corporations was financed by cuts to healthcare & food assistance. Families are struggling. The expanded, monthly Child Tax Credit would help with expenses. Republicans refuse to make it law.

Trump's DOJ has filed yet another wasteful and baseless lawsuit because their law enforcement serves the community, not him. I stand with Mayor Elicker, Gov Ned Lamont, and AG Tong against this attack on New Haven, Connecticut, and our residents.

President Trump admits himself that gas prices will be higher – all because of the war he started with Iran. Most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. They cannot handle a price increase at the gas pump. We must end the war in Iran and focus on bringing down costs.

On Yom HaShoah we honor the memories of the six million innocent lives who were brutally murdered during the Holocaust. Antisemitism and hatred must be defeated.

New Haven Job Corps is open! After fighting against threats of closure by President Trump, I visited them to catch up with students & staff. I heard directly from students that the program is a lifeline for them - providing them with hope & a good-paying career after completion.

Inflation hit the highest point in nearly two years driven almost entirely by a price shock at the pump thanks to Trump’s war in Iran. Working families are already living paycheck to paycheck. They can’t afford a government that creates higher prices.

President Trump's illegal war is increasing the cost of gas for everyone. At a time when hardworking Americans are already struggling to afford sky-high bills, it’s now even more expensive to fill up your car and heat your home — thanks to President Trump.
